Elizabeth & Clarke Review Fall 2016

Elizabeth & Clarke Review Fall 2016

Elizabeth & Clarke is one of the few good clothing subscription boxes on the market. And when I say clothing subscription boxes, I mean the ones that send you clothes to keep, not the rental services or style services. I don’t have a lot of spare time so the rental/style services aren’t really suited to me at this time. Send me the clothes and lets leave it at that….

Clothing Details

I spent some time on the Elizabeth & Clarke website while writing this review and discovered a few interesting facts about their clothing that I thought I should share with you. First, did you know that many of their styles will soon offer a ‘Make It Unstainable’ option to keep you stylish AND stain-free? And second, did you know that their fabrics are wrinkle-resistant and most styles are washer and dryer-safe? Combine that with the fact that the price is extremely reasonable and you have a pretty great clothing subscription.

Here’s a look at the Fall styles….

The Chambers

If you are looking for a tres chic top for any occasion, then the Chambers is the blouse for you. This raven black Crepe De Chine blouse has a laser-cut scalloped neckline and hemline, as well as an overlap detail on the back. The Chambers is the ultimate in sophistication when paired with jeans or a pencil skirt.

I am always happy to receive black shirts. They are a wardrobe staple, and I am always on the hunt for stylish black tops. They go with everything, are great for layering, and are flattering on everyone. This one is very light-weight, and the scalloped details are beautiful.

The McCord

The McCord is this season’s perfect mod look. The gray melange cotton/modal long-sleeved shirt has vegan pebble leather panels on the shoulders for an edgy vibe. Whether raking the beautiful red and orange leaves or strutting your style at the office on a casual Friday, the McCord will be a staple your wardrobe this fall.

I’m really happy to see a gray top in this mix this season. Heather gray is extremely versatile, and it’s a color I don’t wear enough. This top will go perfectly with all my plaid blanket scarves, and thanks to the shoulder detail it will also look great on its own.

The Branwell

The Branwell is a comfy, casual long-sleeved tee for the Fall season. This garnet coloured cotton/modal top has a rib knit v-neck and intricate lace elbow patches. Paired with your favourite jeans and Pumpkin Spiced latte in hand, the Branwell will make an effortless style statement.

The star of the box for sure. This color is perfect and the elbow patches are so darn cute. I can see myself wearing this a lot. It will also look great with a plaid blanket scarf, and even better with a cozy vest.

Elizabeth & Clarke Review Fall 2016 – Final Thoughts

So far this is my favourite Elizabeth & Clarke box. I love the colors, the simple styles, the casual vibe and the fun details. I can already tell that I will get more wear out of these tops than any of my other E&C tops. The  Branwell is going to look SO cute with a vest, distressed denim and knee-high boots. And the Chambers will be cute with coloured denim or a skirt. Three new tops every season for only $60! I love it. It’s the perfect way to spruce up your wardrobe every season without spending a lot.

XOXO
