Elizabeth & Clarke Review Spring 2016

I’ve had my eye on Elizabeth & Clarke for quite some time. They were one of the first fashion subscription boxes I discovered when I started AYOB. Fashion subscription boxes are few and far between so I was really, really looking forward to reviewing this one.

If you aren’t familiar with Elizabeth & Clarke it is a seasonal subscription service for designer-quality blouses and tees. You can choose to receive one shirt per season, two shirts, or three. This box was provided complimentary for review.

I refrained from looking at any spoilers for the Spring Box, and I’m so glad I did. I usually cave and look at every spoiler available, so I’m actually quite surprised I didn’t indulge this time around. Each shirt comes packaged in their own resealable plastic bag, but the lighting was not cooperating today so the picture didn’t turn out. Everything about this box is clean, simple, and classy……as are the tops.

The Catalina – This ice blue top is absolutely gorgeous. The fabric has a little structure to it, which I love, and the color is perfect for Spring. I received a size 2, which is my regular size, but the fit isn’t quite right for my body structure. I’m pretty small but my waist to chest ratio doesn’t work with tops like this. It is a little snug through my waist and a little big through the chest/shoulder area. I’m very sad about this because it is such a beautiful top.

The Holloway – I am LOVING the colors in the Spring collection. This blush colored blouse is PERFECT for me. The fit works well with my body type and it is very versatile. I see myself wearing this with jeans, pencil skirts, under a cardigan, or under a blazer – it is absolutely beautiful.

The Edwards – I’m so happy to see a black top in the mix, I’m a huge fan of black. This one has some structure to it, much like the Catalina top and the style is unlike anything I have in my closet. Sadly, this one fits like the first top, and doesn’t work with my body type. It is snug through the waist and loose through the chest/shoulders. It is meant for ladies with curves and sadly I’m more of a pencil than an hourglass……I love this top and really wish I could wear it.

Thoughts: For my first Elizabeth & Clarke box I am extremely happy, despite the size/fit issues. I will only be able to wear one of the shirts, but I’m really happy that I finally got to experience this subscription. It’s definitely one of the better fashion subscription boxes on the market. The price point is extremely reasonable, the quality is wonderful, the styles are gorgeous, and the packaging is classy.

What do you think of Elizabeth & Clarke?

XOXO
