All Around Vegan Review August 2018
All Around Vegan is a Vegan & Cruelty Free Subscription Box that provides customers with Lifestyle products, Nutritional products, Bath & Body products, and Activism Products every month. They kindly sent us this box for review.
I got to review All Around Vegan box for the very first time in June. I was extremely happy with the box, but I feel like my review didn’t do the box justice. I skipped over some important details and want to make sure I give you the full picture. Let’s get started……
Subscription Details
When you sign up for an All Around Vegan subscription you have the following options to choose from:

Good To Know: All Around Vegan includes some sort of Activism Product in every box. This is one of the key details I missed pointing out in my last review. I will show it to you in detail below, but it’s definitely worth mentioning a few times because it’s one of the things that sets All Around Vegan apart from other Vegan Subscription Boxes.
Product Card: Another key detail I missed pointing out in my last review is the fact that All Around Vegan breaks their product card down into 4 categories:
- Food
- Lifestyle
- Bath & Body
- Activism
Each month we receive items for each category. I love the organizational aspect of it.
Here’s a peek at the items in my August box…..
Barnana & Rule Breaker Snacks
This month we’ve brought a few different summer snacks. The first of which is from Barnana! This company has a very cool model where they upcycle bananas. While bananas that don’t appear perfect are still edible, they are often thrown away on farms. Barnana steps into this system and uses these bananas to make snacks and reduce food waste! We’ve brought you two of the three flavours that are vegan – Original & Coconut!
I am familiar with this brand and have purchased their snacks a few times in the past, but I had NO clue that they upcycle bananas. Such a great idea and it makes me love their snacks even more than I already did.
The second company we’ve included is Rule Breaker! This company is fairly new and makes vegan & allergen-friendly brownies and blondies. These treats are unique as their main ingredient – chickpeas! It’s awesome that even someone with allergies can still enjoy plant-based snacks. The two flavours we’ve included are Birthday Cake and P’Nutter Chocolate Chip.
Ummmmm…..how good do these look?? I am so looking forward to trying these. Vegan-friendly goodies like this are few and far between so I am always happy to test them out. I’m particularly excited to try the Birthday Cake flavour.
T-Shirt
Our lifestyle item this month is simple and clear. A t-shirt with ‘Nothing Humane Happens in a Slaughterhouse’ printed across the front. It’s a hard point for people to argue against, and perhaps it will get them thinking when they see it.
I’m a big fan of graphic tees and have been wearing them a lot as of late. This one is simple, to the point, and definitely makes a statement.
Bestowed Essentials Bamboo Toothbrush & Charcoal Powder
Our bath & body product this month is from Bestowed Essentials! This company makes vegan and cruelty-free, and natural care products while focusing on reducing waste! We’ve included their Charcoal + Mint Tooth Powder, as well as bamboo toothbrush so that we can take care of our hygiene in an environmentally conscious way.
Pretty darn excited about the bath & body items this month. I love receiving the essentials and these are definitely essentials. I also can’t say enough about charcoal powder. I try to use it on a regular basis and love the results – white teeth & fresh smile.
Activism Pamphlets
And lastly, our activism items this month are 10 pamphlets on speciesism! While not many people know of the term, the first step to dismantling the idea is to recognize it. As a species, once we know better, we can do better – and with the right information we can create positive change.
As I mentioned above, this is one of the items I didn’t pay enough attention to in my last review. Each month we receive some sort of Activism Product which is something unique to All Around Vegan specifically. Off the top of my head I’m not aware of any other vegan subscription boxes that do this. This month we get to learn about speciesism which is something I hadn’t heard of until now.
All Around Vegan Review August 2018 – Final Thoughts
The August All Around Vegan box has given me a deeper appreciation for this vegan subscription. I was very happy with my June box, but the August box took things to a whole new level. I love how they structure their subscription (4 different product categories), I love that they include activism products in each box and I love their attention to detail. The fact that they sourced such an amazing snack company really makes me appreciate this box more than I already did. I will definitely be keeping a closer eye on this subscription going forward……..
