August 2017

Can you believe it’s already the last month of summer?  Of course we had to embrace this and go all out with iced teas!  If you’re still a hot tea drinker in the summer, don’t worry, these were all taste tested hot first and passed with flying colours.

I just love receiving Amoda Tea!  It’s the perfect size box for the tea obsessed and frequent sipper. I know some tea crazy people and it seems like they are always trying something new and stashing new teas into their office drawers, kitchen cupboards or shopping bags.  I do love me a good cup of tea and a trip to the tea store can be lethal on my wallet, so Amoda Tea is the perfect mix of frequent teas and cost effective!

Peach Ginger Rose

Peach iced tea – it’s a staple!  Taking that familiar flavour up a notch means artisan blending and herbal additions.  Try steeping this strong and shaking 1/3 cup of tea with simple syrup, splash of cranberry, juice of halve an orange and lemon and an ounce of ginger!

I’m realizing I am such a sucker for ginger teas and drinks!  I can’t get enough ginger lately.  This sounds so delicious!  I am definitely going to try the suggested mixing techniques.

Tropical Pear

Green pears are delicious and refreshing, but a bit light for an iced tea.  Have you noticed that flavours tend to mellow when you cold steep or pour over ice?  We’ve added tropical fruit, a few dark berries and floral hints.

I have noticed that!  I like my tea steeped pretty strong, which is maybe why I get turned off of a lot of iced teas.

Berry Green

A tried and true combination – berries and green tea.  Juicy red and dark berries and organic, beautifully curled green tea.  This green tea is actually from Sri Lanka, mostly known for its black Ceylon tea.

Sounds super tasty!  It takes a lot to win me over on a green tea, but the sound of dark berries just might do it!

Daily Balance

From the same great maker of last month’s Anti-inflammatory Chai is this adaptogenic (stress balancing) herbal tea.  A full bodied blend, delicious hot or iced.  Benefits over all balance and healthy functioning for your body’s vital system.

Sounds super healthy!  The health benefits of tea always seem to surprise me.  I recently tried a stress reducing tea and found moments later I was much calmer and mellow.  I didn’t really connect the dots until after a couple of days of trying the tea.  Now I’m totally hooked on it!

Amoda Tea August 2017 – Final Thoughts

I feel very intrigued by all the blends in this month’s package!  Amoda always does a great job of picking out the perfect blends for the season.  I am glad they chose summer teas for August, but there is almost a full month left of summer in September!!  I’m not willing to let go of my summer yet and it seems like Amoda isn’t either.  I loved the mix recommendation for the peach ginger tea and would love to see more of this in the future!  Over all, Amoda Tea always pleases and I’m quick to recommend it to friends!
