Amoda Tea Review November 2016

Amoda Tea Review November 2016

Why is it that a cup of tea this time of year is so comforting? Is it the warmth, the flavour, the cute mug you put it in, or the chocolatey treats you eat with it? Either way, I LOVE tea in the Fall, and I have really been loving Amoda Tea lately. Last month we received this really amazing Pumpkin tea…..I don’t really need to say more….

White Berry

Soothing aroma of fruits and flowers. A blend that’s a touch savoury, yet delicately sweet with a full mouthfeel. We love the combination of the woody, toasty tea and the juicy berry flavour. Do you get that strangely pleasant fresh hay note and the natural melon note of the white tea?

Classic Matcha Special Edition

You know how much we love our matcha lattes, right? We had this blend created while we were in Japan. It’s just for subscribers so you can make your own Amoda matcha lattes. This blend of matcha from Uji, a region producing the finest matcha in Japan.

Gyokuro Kuki Hoji

Kukicha is tea made from stems & stalks. Hojicha is roasted green tea. This is both, plus more! What makes it super special is the stems & stalks come from Gyokuro tea production. Gyokuro is the finest of Japanese green teas. Shade-grown & only the young leaves are used. This tea is uniquely sweet and roasted.

Yomogi

Yomogi is Japanese mugwort, a very flavourful herb. It adds greater depth to this multi-layered tea. A floral top note, herbaceous, grassy center, and sweet finish. There’s a bit of astringency from the Sencha, but overall it’s really smooth. The sweet-ness of the Japanese black tea lingers with the lavender.

Amoda Tea Review November 2016 – Final Thoughts

Amoda Tea always puts together a great box. This month featured some very classic tea flavours, rather than the fruity, herbal variety. While I definitely prefer fruity, I like that they changed it up a bit this month. And I LOVE that they included Matcha Tea. I have been waiting for them to do that. I saw on their website that they have a few different Matcha products and was hoping we would see one in a box at some point. I would love for them to release a Matcha only subscription option. If you have a tea lover in your life this would make a great Christmas gift!

XOXO
