Basic MAN is a monthly subscription service that will deliver 3 essential pieces of your daily life to your doorstep. Every month, they will send you a t-shirt, boxer briefs and socks. It’s time to say goodbye to those saggy tee’s, stained underwear and socks with holes in them. They kindly sent us this package for review.
Both the fiancé and I love this subscription. He loves that he always has a fresh shirt, new boxers and socks without holes and I love that I don’t have to shop for these items anymore. This really is a genius idea if you ask me. Basic MAN sends you all your wardrobe necessities every month: t-shirt, socks, boxers. I love monthly subscriptions for the basics. So convenient.
Subscription Details
Basic MAN subscriptions are pretty straight forward. They make it easy, all you gotta do is pick your sizes and a monthly plan. Then just sit back and pop a cold one.

- Check Your Mail – Sit back and relax. Your package is on its way.
Here’s a peek at the items we received in our August package….
High Quality T-Shirts
Are you the guy who wears an undershirt below your clothes? Or are you the guy who wears a tee as a fashion statement? Basic MAN shirts are for the both of you.
Our shirts are a hybrid between undershirts and your everyday tee. We use a heavier blended cotton fabric making them extremely soft while minimizing shrinkage and bunching. Subtle details give them a premium feel so you can wear them on their own.
This will be our third shirt from Basic MAN. So far we have received a solid grey, a heathered sky blue and now a heathered army green. I love that we get a different color each month and I love that this one has just a little bit of detail thanks to the heathering. It will be great as an undershirt but you could also pair it with jeans and sandals.
Modal Boxer-Briefs
Typical boxer-briefs are made from cotton or polyester. These fabrics attract bacteria, don’t absorb sweat well, and smell. Instead, we use Modal, which is a sustainable fabric made from beechwood trees. It’s 50% more absorbent than cotton, breathable and odor resistant…but more importantly it’s ridiculously soft and comfortable. Ever heard of Modal fabric? Probably not, but trust us, this stuff is amazing!
If your guy hasn’t tried modal boxers yet, he must! Modal is an amazing fabric, I wish all my cotton items were made with a modal blend. They really should use it for their t-shirts. It’s that amazing. Super soft, absorbent and odor resistant.
Multi-Purpose Socks
Do you ride around on those hover board things all day? Well, that’s weird. For the rest of us, our feet take a beating on a daily basis. Our socks aren’t just your regular dress socks. They are meant for everyday wear and tear. We use premium cotton and bamboo for optimal comfort. Wear them with a suit, or casually with a pair chucks.
Lastly we have our socks. They go with the green shirt perfectly and they feel pretty amazing. I love the quality of Basic MAN socks and boxers. The socks feel soft and sturdy and I love that they are made with bamboo.
Basic MAN Review August 2018 – Final Thoughts
As far as colors and patterns go the August Basic MAN collection just might be my favourite. I love the classic grey boxers, and the striped socks. You all know I am a huge fan of this subscription so I won’t talk about how much I love it, but we should talk about the price point…..or maybe I did that last month? Regardless, it’s worth mentioning again. Basic MAN subscriptions only cost $19.99 per month, which is pretty darn amazing if you ask me. All your wardrobe basics delivered to your door in a nice little package every month……what’s not to love?!
