Beauty Box 5 Review April 2017

Beauty Box 5 is a subscription-based, beauty sampling service that delivers 5 deluxe samples and full-sized products right to your door every month.  Consider them your product-junkie spirit animals. They want to make your makeup bag fun again. They kindly sent us this box for review.

April 2017 – Stay Golden

Ok, I’ll admit to you all right now that I’m not a huge make-up person, but this little turquoise gem of a box is really growing on me!  I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing a couple months of this box now and I have to say that April’s box is so far my favourite!  Eee!  Let’s look what we got.

BB5 – Highlight Fan Brush

Ok, so I have been meaning to add a brush exactly like this to my small collection of brushes for a few years now, but brushes are so expensive that I just haven’t felt the need to splurge, even though I have really wanted one.  I was over the moon to receive this fan brush in my Beauty Box 5!  What a score!

Jean Pierre – Vitamin-C Sheet Mask

I don’t know about you, but my face is still pretty dry from such a long and arduous winter.  This mask will top the pill of face masks I have, because the vitamin-C component really appeals to me.

Did Hair – Gold Bobby Pins

A gal can never, ever have too many bobbie pins.  I’m also a little embarrassed to admit that I not that long ago clued into the fact that different coloured bobby pins were for different shades of hair… haha!  These gold pins will blend right in with my hair colour.   and…. They are SUPER practical!  Loves.

Be a Bombshell – Blush

Another hit out of the park!  Blush is the second and only other item I have really been wanting to add to my meagre make-up collection.  I can’t believe I got the perfect colour blush and a beautiful brush to go with it.  I’m a little elated!

Sweep – Rose Gold Lash Curler

Ok so, my last Beauty Box 5 was all about the lashes.  My lashes are pretty long, so I’ve never felt the need to add extensions or fake lashes to extend the look.  I have, however, used an eye lash curler and really love the look it gives.  I don’t have an eye lash curler in my personal beauty box, because I tend to enjoy the more casual weekend events, such as driving mountain roads scouting for bears… which I was doing on Friday.  You don’t really need fancy curled eye lashes to pull that off… Or maybe you do, because a gal can’t help but look her best.

Beauty Box 5 April 2017 – Final Thoughts

Ok, so this is officially my favourite Beauty Box 5 I’ve received thus far.  I’ve only reviewed 3-4 personally and I’ve been impressed with all of them, but this one was over the top exciting for me!  Like I said, I’ve been meaning to add two of these items to my collection for a while and the additional item of the eye lash curler is really a bonus for me.  I know I won’t us it often, but when I do I am going to be so happy I have them!  The bobby pins are always a win and I really do love the look of that face mask.  I am now officially excited to receive this box in the future and expand my make up horizons.
