Beauty Box 5 Review November 2016
Beauty Box 5 Review November 2016
Is it just me, or is December the perfect time of year for pampering? I get excited for new beauty products all year round, but even more so in the Winter. When it’s cold and snowy outside, I want to spend time inside testing out new polish, giving myself a pedicure, applying face masks, and deep conditioning my hair. It looks like this month’s BB5 is going to provide a few of those pampering products for me……I’m already excited.
Beauty Box 5 Details
If you aren’t familiar with Beauty Box 5 it is a subscription-based, beauty sampling service that delivers 5 deluxe samples and full-sized products right to your door every month. This box was provided complimentary for review and may include affiliate links.
This month’s Beauty Box 5 is titled “It’s too Cold for a Naked Face”. They always have the cutest little products cards and the cutest little sayings. The back of the product card says “Cozy” so I think that’s part of the theme as well.
Briogeo Deep Conditioning Hair Mask
Don’t let the harsh wind and cold weather change go to your head! This mask repairs damage and breakage and contains no sulphates, parabens, silicones, artificial colors or fragrances. Massage into locks after shampooing, leave in for 10 minutes, then rinse!
I have mentioned this before, but I’ve been having trouble with my hair lately. It is in desperate need of some moisture. Therefore, this product came at the perfect time. And, I have heard good things about it.
Manna Kadar Lip Locked Stain – Shae
This isn’t your average lippie! Containing a primer, stain and lip gloss in one, this innovative pigment lasts all day (through those fall flavoured lattes!) and the shade compliments any skin tone.
Manna Kadar is a very popular subscription box brand right now. I have received a few of their products, but this will be my first time testing out their lip stain. This shade might be a little too light for me, but I am intrigued by the fact that it is a primer, stain and gloss in one.
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes
Less time washing your face = more time in cozy clothes! These cult-favourite supersoft cleansing towelettes remove all traces of makeup in one easy swipe – even waterproof eyeliner! – and sensitive skin approved.
I use face wipes every day and these just happen to be my all-time favourite. I absolutely LOVE this brand of wipes and would highly recommend them. They remove makeup very well and they don’t leave my skin feeling dry.
Peony Shadow Trio – Gilded
Warm up your makeup game with this bronzed trio! The shades are highly pigmented, velvety smooth, and formulated to last for up to 8 hours. Wear one by itself as a wash or all three for a look with dimension.
This is a new brand for me, and don’t they just have the cutest packaging. These are great colors for Winter and will complement many different skin tones.
BB5 Cut That Crease Angle Brush
A little something pretty for your vanity (and the shades above). The angled design of this brush allows for precise placement of cream or powder shadow in the crease and gives an airbrushed finish on the lid. Hello, flawless detailing and blending.
Makeup brushes are ALWAYS appreciated. I like that this one is angled. I’m slowly starting to step outside my shadow comfort zone and have been applying darker shades in the outer corner of my crease. This will come in handy.
Beauty Box 5 Review November 2016 – Final Thoughts
This little blue box makes me happy. It’s so inexpensive, and so simple, but so much fun at the same time. I really love the items in this month’s box. I received a favourite product, a much-needed product and discovered a new brand. I can see myself using every item. You can tell they put some thought into this month’s box and the value is definitely there. Beauty Box 5 would be a wonderful Christmas gift.
