Book of the Month Selection Review August 2019

Book of the Month is a monthly book subscription box. Every month they release 5 new books which they have narrowed down from hundreds of new releases (so you don’t have to). Books are announced on the first of the month, and members have six days to decide which book they would like to receive. Monthly subscriptions include one book, but members can purchase up to two additional books each month for $9.99 per title. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Book of the Month is one of my must-have subscriptions. It’s easily one of my favourite boxes to receive. Books in the mail?! Yes please! It really is a genius idea. Especially for someone like myself who can get overwhelmed with too many choices. I like the idea of someone else picking out my books for me. If you love to read……you NEED this subscription.

1. New selections are announced on the 1st of the month: The BOTM team selects 5 new books each month, one of which is included in your membership.

2. Choose your Book of the Month by the 6th: Visit the site to select your Book of the Month, or leave it up to them and they will choose one for you.

3. Read, react and discuss with other members: All books ship on the same day. Return to the site to share and discuss with other members.

Well Met by Jen DeLuca

This summer was only ever supposed to be a pit stop on the way to somewhere else for Emily, but soon she can’t seem to shake the fantasy of establishing something more with Simon, or a permanent home of her own in Willow Creek.

Book of the Month Selection Review August 2019 – Final Thoughts

Every month I look forward to my Book of the Month selections arriving, and every month I am beyond excited to read at least one of the titles. This month it just happened to be The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware. I wasn’t initially drawn to the cover, and it took me a couple weeks to sit down and actually open the book, but once I did I was hooked. It only took a couple chapters for me to get caught up in this edge of my seat thriller. It was a little intense, but in a good way. I couldn’t read it before bed because it was quite spooky, but in the end I absolutely loved it. I’m tempted to say it’s one of my favorite books of 2019. I now feel the need to go out and purchase a couple more of Ruth Ware’s books.
