Breo Box Review Spring 2019
Breo Box is a seasonal subscription service for both men & women, delivering high-end and boutique brand name products. Every 3 months, you’ll receive a custom made hand-packed wooden box with items that revolve around everyday essentials, fitness/health, and tech, curated to fit the season. They kindly sent us this box for review.
Breo Box is one of my favorite subscriptions for discovering new gadgets. It’s a little more expensive than most subscriptions but it’s definitely worth it as the value always exceeds the cost, and I always end up discovering awesome new products I never would have found on my own.
Subscription Details
When you sign up for a Breo Box subscription you have two options to choose from:
- Seasonal – $159 each season
- Annual – $549 for the year, receive a new box each season
Shipping is FREE for US customers and $35 for Canadian customers.
Here’s a closer look at the items we received in the Spring Breo Box…..
ThawTHAT! Modern Defrosting Board ($70)
Microwave defrost actually cooks your food on low, and thawing by water destroys flavor. Thaw THAT! uses heat-pipes from the semi-conductor industry to maximize the rate of heat exchange between frozen food and room temperature, resulting in a lightening-quick defrost. Thaw THAT! defrosts meat right on the countertop without any external heat or power source for a gentle, even thaw in less than half the time of traditional countertop thawing.
I’m often at a loss when it comes to figuring out how to defrost food when short on time. I usually end up throwing it in the microwave but I’d really rather skip that step if at all possible. Therefore I think this handy little board will be the perfect addition to my kitchen.

Well isn’t this just the handiest little gadget ever. It keeps your keys organized, helps you find them if you lose them, it will also find your phone if you lose that but still have your keys, and…… it’s also a flashlight and bottle opener. Talk about multi-tasking!
Twelve South Airfly ($40)
Wish you could listen to in-flight TV with your AirPods? Want to hear the gym cardio machine’s TV audio with your wireless headphones? Now you can, thanks to AirFly – a tiny device that connects wireless headphones to wired-audio jacks on planes, in fitness centers and anywhere else wired headphones were previously required. Just pair your wireless headphones with AirFly, plug it into the headphone jack, and you’re ready. It’s just that easy! AirFly stays charged for eight hours and includes a USB charging cable and travel pouch.
This is easily my favorite item in the Spring Breo Box. This is the kind of gadget that gets me really excited. I use ear buds ALL the time. I have a pair with me at all times and keep a pair in a number of different locations. One of the places I keep a pair is in my travel bag. I like to keep a backpack stocked with airport/plane essentials and that’s exactly where this little gadget is going.
W&P Design Switch Board Game by Weller & Sons ($25)
This is a simple, but fun board game with an easy objective. Be the first player to arrange four of your game pieces into a two-by-two square. It’s the kind of game I like to have on hand. Perfect to play when company comes over and a fun game to play with my nieces and nephews.
Xpand Original No-Tie Lacing System ($20)
The Xpand No Tie Elastic Lacing System utilizes zero memory flat elastic shoelaces allowing you to convert almost any shoe or boot into a fully adjustable no tie slip-on.
At first glance I wasn’t overly excited about this item but upon further inspection I think I’m actually going to love it. These laces are genius. I can’t tell you how many times I have gone to put on a pair of runners and wished that I could just slip them on. With these laces, now I can. I’m going to put these on a pair of my runners that I use daily for errands, you know the ones I’m talking about, the ones that stay beside the front door because you slip them on no matter what you are doing…….now I really will be able to just “slip them on”.
Understanding Healthy Eating eCookbook by Renaissance Periodization ($43)
We also received a card that allows us to download a copy of Understanding Healthy Eating, it is an eCookbook with a retail value of $43. I’m not overly excited about this particular item. I’m one of those people who prefers physical items in my subscription boxes as opposed to downloads or gift cards.
Breo Box Review Spring 2019 – Final Thoughts
This Spring Breo Box has a total retail value of $307 which is pretty amazing given the cost of the box. They provided us with some really great gadgets and the box itself even had a bit of a theme seeing as 3 out of the 4 items were food related. I’m most excited about the AirFly device as it will be the perfect addition to my travel bag. In addition to that I have a couple of awesome new products to use in the kitchen, a game to add to my board game collection and the KeySmart gadget will make an amazing gift. I’m looking forward to the Summer Breo Box and I’ve got my fingers crossed that we see a Summer theme and one or two lifestyle products.
