BuddhiBox Review April 2019

BuddhiBox is a monthly Yoga inspired box that’s based on discovery, union and compassion. Each box contains 4-6 sample and full sized yoga-related products that will inspire your life, workouts and community. Products will be from different categories, including fitness, skincare, and fragrance. You’ll get to try staff favorites, product launches, and more. BuddhiBox believes it’s better to give than to receive, so each month a portion of proceeds from the sale of the boxes is donated to a different charity. They kindly sent us this box for review.

April Box Details

The April BuddhiBox is centered around the theme of peace. The quote of the month is a great thought starter to bring that theme to life:

After an Abundant March we are gliding into a Peaceful April! The Yoga Box features a journal for quiet reflection made by a co-op in India, and we have to say, the Peace oil in your box this month is exquisite. Treat yourself further – there’s a cuff bracelet (asst’d varieties) made by artisans in India who otherwise would have to leave their village homes, and families to work in the city. That, to us, brings peace of mind.

Sometimes when the hustle and bustle gets a little too hustle-y and bustle-y and peace and quiet go out the window. Opening this month’s box was the reminder that I needed to slow down and find that sense of calm amidst my busy days. The tools included all provide quick and easy ways to gain that sense of peace back when you need it.

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s BuddhiBox:

Plant Life Peace Essential Oil ($10)

A blend of cassia, cedar wood, chamomile, cinnamon leaf, orange, patchouli, tangerine, thyme and ylang ylang. Peace essential oils calms the mind and soothes the spirit. A wonderful PM blend after a stressful day in the office, or to help you settle into your meditation or practice on the mat. Use it for aromatherapy, massages, and in your bath or home care products to infuse your sense with the essence of peace.

This essential oil smells just as it’s named: Peaceful! I love anything with citrus and since they usually create a bright & uplifting scent, the patchouli and cedar wood help keep that part of the scent balanced and grounded so you can relax. I think this would be great used in my diffuser before bedtime to wind down the day. I also think it would make a great roll-on that you could keep with you at all times and use when the going gets tough.

Savvy Stone Elixirs Peace Dough ($10)

Find your peace and inner child with this fun therapeutic peace dough. Infused with blue lace agate and peppermint oil, intended for stabilizing and nurturing calmness.

This is so fun! I’m really excited about this product. It’s like a play-dough ball that you can squish and form and release some stress with. Tactile tools have been proven stress-relievers and with this one’s added benefit of included peppermint oil for additional sensory benefit, it’s sure to help! The container is small enough that you could easily pack this in your purse or bag so you have it with you whenever you need to take your mind off things.

Matr Boomie Journal ($12)

Sometimes inner peace comes after we let our minds run free in a cathartic journal session. This sweet handmade journal made by members of a co-op in India, carries a message on the cover as a reminder to let your heart relax into it’s truest expression.

The size of this journal is so perfect for taking with you anywhere. I wouldn’t say it’s a journal for writing novels in, but instead the perfect place to jot notes or quick statements about your feelings. It’s true that journaling can help release pent up emotions so this one is great to help you get it all out on the go.

Matr Boomie Cuff Bracelet ($25)

We are always delighted to support artisans who otherwise would not be able to live in their village in India and earn a living wage. This handmade cuff bracelet is the perfect feel good and look good accessory for Yogis. Giving and receiving = peace of mind.

What a pretty statement piece of jewelry! It’s subtle in detail, yet bold in size. It’s a bit large for my small wrist but it seems to be able to bend to fit better. I think this could be worn dressed up or down and goes with pretty much everything. It’s fair trade, handmade, sustainable, made with non-toxic metals and purchases fund community development.

Peace Engraved River Stone ($10)

Promote peace and harmony in your home or sacred space with this gentle reminder.

I think this would be a great addition to a meditation altar and could be used to remind you to bring peace to your thoughts during a session. I like to bring calming stones along in my purse sometimes and this would also be great for that, especially since the reminder to find peace is literally written right on it!

Prema Love – Nectar of Devotion Download ($22)

Prema is the embodiment of the title of her CD. Tune into the sound of transformation with Prema Love’s latest compilation of sacred music for global awakening, Nectar of Devotion. Let the vibration of the music carry you to a resting place deep within.

This is a fun and unexpected addition to the box! The music is enlightening and perfectly aligns with this month’s theme. I like the idea of this download because you could put this on your phone and carry the music with you anywhere to turn on when you need to breath a little. I’m thinking it would be great to listen to when commuting to or from work, after a workout to ground the mind or for a yoga session to help bring about a sense of peace for the practice.

BuddhiBox Review April 2019 – Final Thoughts

I love the theme of this month’s BuddhiBox. Peace can feel elusive sometimes so it’s great to receive a box full of tools to remind me to set aside some time to find it. As usual I think everything included is great, but I’m especially excited about the Peace Dough and can see it being a very useful tool during stressful moments. It’s my favorite when a box has a theme centered around enhancing a feeling, mood or emotion so this month’s box was right on target!
