BuddhiBox Review February 2019

BuddhiBox is a monthly Yoga inspired box that’s based on discovery, union and compassion. Each box contains 4-6 sample and full sized yoga-related products that will inspire your life, workouts and community. Products will be from different categories, including fitness, skincare, and fragrance. You’ll get to try staff favorites, product launches, and more. BuddhiBox believes it’s better to give than to receive, so each month a portion of proceeds from the sale of the boxes is donated to a different charity. They kindly sent us this box for review.

February Box Details

The February BuddhiBox is centered around the theme of love, and specifically self love. The quote of the month is a great mantra to inspire that theme:

“Talk to yourself like you would to someone you love.” ~Brene Brown

It’s always good to show others love and Valentine’s Day is a good reminder to do so, but I think it’s also a good reminder to show yourself love too. It’s easy to forget to do that and put others first most of the time but if you don’t take care of yourself who will?? The items in this box will help you remember you’re important too and it’s ok to take that extra minute or two to slow down and give yourself some love.

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s BuddhiBox:

PlantLife Uplift Essential Oil ($10)

A blend of bergamot, lemon, orange, lime, tangerine, mandarin and lemongrass, Uplift essential oil boosts your spirits and provides you with a positive perspective. Use it for aromatherapy, massages, in diffusers, or in your bath or home care products for a lovely fragrance that fills your senses!

Essential oils are a fantastic self care tool because they are so versatile. You can diffuse them for general mood enhancement or during a mediation to increase focus and awareness. They can also be applied to the body with a carrier oil so that you can bring the aroma with you wherever you go. This one in particular would be perfect for that since the blend is called “Uplift” which is intended to lift your spirits and increase positivity. It’s a bright citrus scent that you can’t help but smile at when inhaled.

Crystal Clean Skincare Green Smoothie Mask ($16)

Made with emerald crystals that will balance your chakras, this luscious mask also gets it’s green color from kale and wheatgrass. Smoothing and hydrating, it reduces redness and relives a variety of skin conditions and can be used on all skin types. It’s packed with vitamins and antioxidants too!

A mask really is the perfect self love skin care item because it gives you an opportunity to stop for a few minutes and rest while the benefits take action. This one in particular happens to be made of whole foods (making it edible actually!) including organic wheatgrass, organic kale, and organic spirulina. These super foods are packed with vitamins and minerals that benefit your skin and increase it’s health. It is intended to reduce inflammation, calm acne and soothe other skin irritating conditions such as eczema. It also includes a charged emerald crystal whose positive energy helps align your chakras and bring you luck and positive vibes.

Toe Talk Namaste Grip Toe Socks ($12)

There’s nothing more frustrating than slippery socks during yoga class! That won’t be a problem with these “gripping” socks, complete with innovative features that keep them in place at the toes, heels and around the arch, providing extra stability. They’re light and breathable too, ideal for sweaty workouts!

There actually was a pair of yoga socks in last months box so at first it felt like a duplicate item but the style of these is different so still very useful. Plus if you practice yoga several times a week more than one pair would be very helpful. These socks are more of an ankle style sock, they come up past the ankle bone. The bottom has non-slip grips on it to help increase stability and balance through your practice. They are lightweight and constructed to support your feet, including an arch band that not only increases support but helps the sock stay on. Each of these socks includes and inspiring message on the top that you can see while you practice – this one says “namaste” reminding you to honor the spirit within others and within yourself.

Masagi Pulling Oil Packets – 2 ($6)

Looking for a natural way to care for your oral health? This is it! This ancient Ayurvedic medicinal practice of oil pulling works to relieve a variety of health issues and these handy packets are easy to use, even when on the go! Keep a few in your gym bag!

I keep meaning to try oil pulling since I’ve heard of several health benefits but haven’t tried it yet. It’s perfect that these were included in this month’s box so I can give it a try now. Oil pulling is said to pull out toxins in the mouth which helps decrease inflammation, reduce plaque and whiten teeth. It’s easy to do, you just swish the oil in your mouth for 15-20 minutes and spit into the trash. These individual packets are great for doing this practice while traveling or on the go.

Entyze Rose Hydrating Face Mist ($10)

Sometimes a spritz is all you need! Refresh with this lovely rose-scented hydrating mist, designed to soften and tone with natural ingredients like willow bark, It’s also great for unclogging pores and reducing blemishes. Use it after your yoga session!

Rose water is a refreshing and light way to add moisture to your skin. It helps balance the ph levels to heal skin and improve it’s tone. This face mist also contains white willow bark which is naturally high in salicylic acid that helps to unclog pores and reduce blemishes. All ingredients included are all-natural, plant-based, organic, and food-grade. It’s scent is light, sweet and floral, like roses – very refreshing!

Kiss My Honey Coconut Lip Balm ($5)

Mmmm! The fresh taste of coconut combined with soothing oils makes this the lip balm of choice for soft, smooth lips. Chemical and paraben free, it’s full of anti-aging vitamins too!

You can never have too many chapsticks in your chapstick collection and this is one I’ve never tried so I was glad to find it in this month’s box. It’s made with all-natural, organic and simple ingredients including beeswax that provides a protective barrier, coconut oil that’s anti-bacterial, shea butter which is a hydrating protectant and sweet almond oil that is rich in vitamin E which helps to smooth and moisturize skin. It glides on smooth and smells lightly of coconut.

BuddhiBox Healing Stone Trio ($16)

Open the pretty pouch on our healing stone trio and find adventurine, rose quartz and green moss agate stones inside! Each stone stimulates the heart chakra and encourages self-love while also promoting compassion and kindness. Simply lovely!

This is a great trio of stones for a self love mediation practice. The green stone is adventurine which is the “stone of opportunity” and is said to bring you luck and good favor. The pink stone is rose quartz which is the “stone of love”. It aligns with the heart chakra and is said to have nurturing properties of love and passion. The white stone is moss agate and is said to have healing powers that reduce negative energy and bring you balance. You can use these to enhance a meditation practice or to carry with you as reminders of their powers.
