BuddhiBox Review June 2019

BuddhiBox is a monthly Yoga inspired box that’s based on discovery, union and compassion. Each box contains 4-6 sample and full sized yoga-related products that will inspire your life, workouts and community. Products will be from different categories, including fitness, skincare, and fragrance. You’ll get to try staff favorites, product launches, and more. BuddhiBox believes it’s better to give than to receive, so each month a portion of proceeds from the sale of the boxes is donated to a different charity. They kindly sent us this box for review.

June Box Details

The June BuddhiBox has a “Blessed Sun” theme and comes with a great quote to fit that theme:

“Do what makes your soul shine.” ~unknown

Yes! The sun is finally here for the summer this month, and it’s about time! With summer solstice, or the longest day of sunlight every year, a sun focused theme is perfect. I like how the box isn’t just items to help you have fun in the sun but rather items that will help you feel like the sun, bright and refreshed and ready to take on the day.

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s BuddhiBox:

Moon Floral Solid Perfume ($30)

Blossoming with ylang ylang, jasmine, rose and lavender flowers with rays of soothing sweet orange peel. Perfect pocket or purse size for an immediate does of your favorite scent for your yoga or meditation practice.

This smells SO good! It smells like citrus flowers, ultra bright and warm – perfect for summer. It’s made with all natural ingredients including organic sweet almond oil, beeswax, sunflower oil and rose flower. It’s a solid perfume so it’s a pretty hard consistency in the container. I just scrape a bit out with my finger nail and rub into skin. When it’s applied it softens and melts into skin. It moisturizes and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling behind, only a beautiful scent!

BuddhiBox Faceted Dyed Jade Lower Chakras Radiance Bracelet ($25)

This bracelet is a joyful celebration of the first through third chakras. You are brilliant as 1000 suns, with it’s radiance and sunburst charms, this bracelet is your little reminder.

Such a pretty bracelet and I love the reminder that comes with wearing it (above). A positive and uplifting reminder of self love. There are two charms on it, one that says “radiance” and one that’s a sunburst – both align well with the colors of the stones. I like that this bracelet is also a connection to your lower chakras and can be worn in a practice geared toward those as a focusing reminder and an extra boost of healing energy. It’s adjustable and the smallest it goes fits well on my rather small wrists.

BuddhiBox Fire Opal Sun Necklace ($35)

Shine on beautiful yogis! This necklace emanates the fire and intensity of our power uncapped!

This couldn’t be more sun themed! It’s a simple, yet bold necklace with a sun shaped charm. the stone in the middle of the sun is a really pretty iridescent opal-like stone that reflects different colors when shifted. I like the length of it, it’s not a pendant and not a choker, but in-between.

Buddha Bowl Himalayan Pink Popcorn ($3.50)

We included a little bonus snack for yogis on the go – organic popcorn, organic coconut oil and Himalayan pink salt. Yumm!

I love this popcorn so much! I’ve had it before but love the little mini travel sized version of a bag. It is definitely a good treat for on the go, and perhaps a better size as I tend to eat more than I mean to when I open a bigger bag haha. I like that it’s made with all organic ingredients and it has just the right amount of salt in my opinion. If you’re weary of the taste of coconut oil, don’t be. The flavor is subtle and actually tastes better than regular popcorn to me!

BuddhiBox Sun Salutation Reference Card ($5)

Let the images of the flow of sun salutation guide your practice effortlessly.

This card could be used as a piece of art or you could keep it near where you do yoga as a reminder of the flow. It’s simple and pretty and a fun addition to the box.

Meli the Dreaming Yogi Sunshine In A Bottle Essential Oil Blend ($20)

Enjoy the invigorating citrus aroma of this blend whenever you need a boost in energy or to feel uplifted as it stimulates the vibrant energy of the sun. Apply around your navel to activate your solar plexus center. Infused with calendula petals, citrine and clear quartz crystals for added benefits.

This smells like sunshine! I love citrus and it’s certainly heavy on that, with oils of wild orange, lemon and grapefruit. The infused calendula and crystals are not only a pretty addition to the oil but the benefits are uplifting too. Citrine is the “light-maker” stone that’s said to bring joy and happiness and clear quartz is used to bring clarity – so both together are like a cloudless sunny summer day. Calendula is soothing for the skin. I like the idea of using this particular oil when meditating or doing a yoga practice centered around the solar plexus charka. Since it’s so bright and uplifting, it’s sure to help focus on that.

Vahdam Tea Sampler ($10)

We hear Oprah drinks this tea every morning; a great good morning treat – or in the summer months steep and add some ice cubes for a refreshing iced tea.

Well if Oprah says these teas are good, then they must be right? In all seriousness, they do sound like wonderful teas. The sampler came with 5 tea bags including: Turmeric Spiced Herbal, India’s Original Chai, Chamomile Mint Citrus Green, Organic Himalayan Green and Darjeeling Summer Black. They all sound refreshing and summery to me! I like that there are caffeinated and herbal options in the sampler for different people’s needs. This tea gives back too – 1% of revenue is given to fund the education of their tea grower’s children. How cool?!

Movemints ($10)

These refreshing mints are sugar free and sweetened with xylitol to promote oral health while they freshen breath and fight dry mouth. Originally made for users of invisaligners, they’re also for anyone after a dehydrating workout or practice on the mat.

I’ve never had invisaligners so I’m not exactly sure how these work with them and can’t explain. They do have a unique shape that you can close your teeth down on, I’m just not sure how that benefits the aligners? Even if you don’t wear invisaligners these are a great mint to eat when you need to freshen your breath. They are made with only 5 simple ingredients and are sweetened with xylitol – so no sugar added! They taste great and have a fresh minty flavor that’s not harsh or overpowering.

BuddhiBox Review June 2019 – Final Thoughts

I love summer and anything that’s summer themed so this month’s BuddhiBox was a fun one. Everything feels bright and refreshing and gets me excited for the month’s ahead. I especially like the Moon Perfume, that although would more tie more to theme if it was named sun, but whatever! It still smells perfect for summer anyway. I of course like the Sun In A Bottle essential oil blend too. Give me all the citrus! As usual, there is a great variety of items in this box. Something for everyone!
