BuddhiBox Review November 2018

BuddhiBox is a monthly Yoga inspired box that’s based on discovery, union and compassion. Each box contains 4-6 sample and full sized yoga-related products that will inspire your life, workouts and community. Products will be from different categories, including fitness, skincare, and fragrance. You’ll get to try staff favorites, product launches, and more. BuddhiBox believes it’s better to give than to receive, so each month a portion of proceeds from the sale of the boxes is donated to a different charity. They kindly sent us this box for review.

November Box Details

The November BuddhiBox is all about finding and feeling balance and it comes with this great reminder of a mantra:

Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony.

The holiday season can often bring about a feeling of imbalance from the to-do lists to the shopping lists to the demands of daily life so November’s box and included mantra couldn’t have come at a better time. The items packed inside remind you to slow down and include time for yourself amongst the hustle and bustle. By finding time to take care of yourself you can help to restore that balance that might have slipped away from you.

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s box:

Finneous and Bean Headband ($20)

The EmpowHERed(TM) bamboo headband can be worn during workouts, as a ponytail holder, or to cover your ears on cold days. The bamboo fabric helps it conform to your head and is dry-wicking, UV protective, durable, and sustainable.

This is a great multi-use hair band. It’s a long band that can be doubled up for a headband or twisted up multiple times to wear for a ponytail holder. It would be great to use during a yoga practice to keep your hair from distracting you and to keep you cool. It’s a great neutral black color and the braided detail makes it have more interest. While you’re not using it to tie your hair back you could also wear it around your wrist.

Buddhi Box Yoga Strap ($15)

All yogis need a durable strap to help improve alignment and flexibility and assist with various positions! This one is ideal, providing 8 feet of textured cotton that won’t slip off your foot or out of your hand. Just roll it up and tuck it in your bag.

This is so handy! I’ve always used a make-shift strap when a yoga routine required it so I’m excited to have an actual strap now. The texture and length of this particular strap make it all the more useful. Like it says above, the texture helps keep it from slipping and the length gives more options for stretching. These are great for helping to increase flexibility and also as a stabilizer so you can go at your own pace. This tool can act as a good reminder to take things slow and focus on what feels good rather than relying on gravity or a guess to know how far to stretch.

Soulstice SoulSleeve Compression Sleeve ($20)

We all need a helping hand how and then! This first-of-a-kind wrist compression sleeve will provide you with that extra boost by helping to relieve wrist tension and prevent injury. Each band features an inspiring pattern and a hidden mantra inside. Made in the USA from recycled bottles, it’s moisture-wicking and comfortable to wear.

I’ve been having a bit of carpal tunnel-like symptoms so this compression sleeve couldn’t have come at a better time! It’s made of a stretchy fabric (which happens to be made from recycled bottles) yet provides a snug fit to the wrist for light stabilization and tension relief. This particular band has a beautiful OM design printed on the outside and comes with the same mantra printed on the inside for a peaceful reminder. Every purchase of one of these bands helps to preserve up to an entire acre of endangered rainforests too!

Soften Your Soul Foot Spray ($20)

Are your feet overworked from too many balance postures? Soften Your Soul foot spray includes just the right blend of essential oils to make them like new again! Just spritz your yogi-toes after yoga, workouts, or at the end of a busy day. It soothes your soles and smells wonderful too!

I definitely get tired feet after a long day so this will be a useful product. It’s easy to use and is said to soothe aching feet. It’s made with jojoba oil and the essential oils of orange, ylang ylang and lavender. It smells a bit citrusy and florally but has a soft, round, balancing under tone. So not only will it make your feet feel good, the scent should uplift and soothe a tired mind too.

Some Essentials Warm Vanilla Oil ($12)

Whether you use it after a shower or bath or as a massage oil, this heavenly-scented warm vanilla oil will help relax your mind and calm your senses, providing an overall feeling of well-being, just what you’ll need around the busy holiday season! You can also use it in the morning as it absorbs quickly and lasts all day.

This smells like a cozy, warm winter night in a bottle! It’s a body oil made with grapeseed oil (which is light and hydrating), almond oil, and warm vanilla sugar oil. It’s lightweight and absorbs quickly so it doesn’t leave a greasy feeling behind. It’s perfect for these dry winter days when all of your skin feels tight and itchy.

Green Tree Incense – Mantra Incense ($5)

Keep your mind on your mantra and your mantra on your mind with Green Tree’s Mantra Incense. 100% natural, hand-rolled incense sticks made from exotic blends of herbs, gums, resins, woods and oils. Permeates your space AND your senses.

This incense has a classic incense smell to me: woodsy, sweet and earthy. It’s comforting and warm and will fill up your space with a wonderful aroma. It comes with about 10-12 sticks so will help keep your space and your mind calm for quite awhile.

Tiger’s Eye Healing Stone ($5)

Tiger’s Eye contains the energy of both the earth and the sun. This stone is stabilizing and grounding. Draw on Tiger’s Eye to boost will power, emotional stability and energy levels.

Tiger’s eye is such a pretty stone with the different layers that shimmer through it. Since it’s a grounding stone it would be perfect to carry with you at all times for whenever you need a reminder of your stability. It’s such a smooth stone too so you can rub it while repeating a grounding mantra to increase it’s effects.

BuddhiBox Review November 2018 – Final Thoughts

The items that come in the BuddhiBox are always fun to receive, especially when they are focused on self care. I don’t think there are many people that don’t get carried away by the holiday season so to have a few products that remind you to take care of yourself and slow down come in the midst of it is really helpful. I like that there are several yoga specific items in this box because a yoga practice can easily be forgotten when you’re running around trying to check off your to-do list. I’m going to be sure to include some yoga in the weeks leading up to the end of the year and look forward to using these items to help me enhance my practice.
