Here’s a look at the items we received in the July Debut Box:

Giclee Canada Map Watercolor Print: Andrea Hill

5″x7″ watercolour map. Exclusive Canadian Originals design.

This is a gorgeous print, it’s festive and I happen to love receiving prints in my subscription boxes. It’s a great excuse to switch out the photos in my office frames every so often.

Maple Leaf Necklace: Hidden Gems by Raquel

Handmade Y necklace. Exclusive Canadian Originals design.

As you can probably tell from the first couple of items, we have a Canada Day theme going on, which is very appropriate seeing as it is Canada’s 150 celebration in a couple of weeks. This necklace will be the perfect accessory for your Canada Day outfit.

Home Wall Decor: Kylee’s Keepsakes

Rustic 10″ x 7″ hand painted wood sign. Exclusive Canadian Originals design.

I absolutely love wood decor. This was a really nice surprise tucked in the bottom of the box. I’m not sure where I will hang it, but I love it nonetheless.

Sea Salt Caramels: Hugo & Nate Confections

Made one small batch at a time with nothing more than a copper pot and a wooden spoon, each caramel is two bites of buttery bliss.

It’s nice to see a treat in the box, I wonder if we can expect this every month. I feel like a sweet snack rounds out the box nicely.

Beeswax Aromatherapy Travel Candle: 9 Senses

These are 100% pure beeswax & pure essential oil candles. Aromatherapy is the practice of using the natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being. The inhaled aroma from these “essential” oils is widely believed to stimulate brain function. Beeswax burns longer, cleaner and of coarse brighter than any other wax. Beeswax candles release negative ions, which will clean allergens and dust from your home air.

Candles are always a good idea. I think this was a lovely idea for their first box.

Celebration Soap Slice: Carberry Soap

Pamper yourself with our handmade Gourmet Soap. These bars are made with love in our Soap Kitchen with specially selected natural ingredients and are full of wholesome goodness. No need to wait for a special occasion, these soaps are gentle enough to use everyday and have soothing ingredients to nourish rough, dry skin.

I’m not really loving the colors of this soap. I prefer something simple and understated so I can put it on display in my guest bathroom. This one is a little too much. I would have liked to see something that fit with the theme a little better. But that is strictly a personal preference.

Canadian Mint Anniversary Edition Quarter

What an absolutely wonderful idea for our Canadian themed July box. I’ve never received anything like this in any of my subscription boxes so they definitely get bonus points for originality.

Canadian Originals Review July 2017 – Final Thoughts

This was Canadian Originals very first box and I think they did a wonderful job. They nailed it with the timing of the debut box, the theme, and the products. What a great way to launch a Canadian Lifestyle Box! Subscribers will receive it in time for Canada Day and it is FULL of festive items for the big 150th celebration. Talk about starting things off with a bang! I am thrilled to have discovered a new Canadian Subscription Box and can’t wait to get my hands on the next box. I’m excited to see what brands and products they feature in the next one.

XOXO
