Chococurb Review November 2016

Chococurb Review November 2016

Chococurb is happiness in a box. Have I said that before? I probably have, but it needed to be said again. First of all, who doesn’t love chocolate, and second, who doesn’t love a chocolate in the mail? It really is a genius idea. Now if they could only time my delivery to correspond with a certain time of the month……life would be complete.

Chococurb Details

If you aren’t familiar with Chococurb it is a monthly chocolate discovery experience. They help people discover extraordinary chocolate with their monthly subscription boxes and through their shop, where you can purchase incredible products. Chococurb kindly sent me this box to review.

Note: Normally I review the Mini Box but it looks like this one is the regular box…..more chocolate for me!

Rococo Chocolates Basil & Persian Lime

A complex and unusual bar that’s perfect for red wine lovers and people who prefer deep, savoury flavours. The first flavour to hit is the basil, aromatic and almost aniseedy, followed by the depth and earthy sourness of dried Persian lime.

Did they say that this is perfect for red wine lovers? Oh my goodness…..that makes me excited. Chocolate and red wine is my weakness.

Pitch Dark Matcha Tea & Nib

62-Percent Nicaraguan cocoa, Made in Portland, USA, Jasmine Pearl Matcha tea covered cocoa nibs. Matcha is made of fine young tea leaves, shaded for 2 – 3 weeks, then plucked, heated, dried, and ground into a powder.

This sounds interesting. But I’m not sure how it is going to be. Matcha flavoured chocolate can go one of two ways……really good, or really bad.

Askanya Chocolat Noir

60% Cacao – Ingredients: Haitian Cacao, Sugar, Vanilla Bean

Taza Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch

Crispy brown rice is paired with 65% dark chocolate and fresh roasted organic hazelnuts in irresistible grab-and-go mini bars. Tazitos are the perfect size for a sweet and satisfying snack!

This sounds perfect……so perfect that I had to open it while writing this review. I’m not supposed to eat chocolate but sometimes I just can’t help myself. Since this one is 65% dark chocolate it isn’t overly sweet, and the little crunchy bits are awesome.

Boissier Chocolat au Lait

Is it just me or is this packaging just a little too fancy? Don’t get me wrong, I love it, and think it is absolutely gorgeous, but it makes me want to save the chocolate for a special occasion.

Gusto Chocolates Fireweed Honey in Dark Chocolate

The light nose of American Fireweed honey (harvested in Washington) has been artfully paired with a fruity Madagascar dark chocolate blend to create a full flavored bar with a smooth honey finish that is hard to resist.

This sounds really interesting. I’ve never heard of Fireweed Honey before. Full flavour and a smooth finish sounds like the perfect combo.

Chococurb Review November 2016 – Final Thoughts

Well, one thing is for sure…..more chocolate is WAY better than less chocolate. I love the number of bars we received in this box. I want the regular box every month. I’m not extremely excited about any of the bars, but they are unique and intriguing. I love Chococurb! The only thing that would make this box better is if they were to add in a theme every now and then. A pumpkin spice theme would have been awesome last month, and a peppermint theme would be perfect for December…..just a thought.

XOXO
