Degustabox Review January 2019

Degustabox is a subscription food box, jam-packed with brand new, full-sized treats (worth nearly $40) from some of the most exciting brands out there! They bring you delicious new products delivered straight to your door every month. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Chocolat Frey Bars: Blonde Crunchy Almond Bar

This authentic Swiss chocolate bar is a sweet treat that will melt in your mouth and keep you wanting more. It’s made with 25% nuts and is GMO free. I absolutely loved the Blond Crunchy Almond Bar. The combination of caramelized white chocolate and almonds is irresistible.

Partners Crackers: Olive Oil and Sea Salt

These snack crackers are the perfect snack to have around the house to complete an appetizer dish or just to munch on. The Partners Crackers are delicious, slow-baked crackers made from natural ingredients like buttermilk, olive oil and sea salt. And they are pretty healthy for you too, as they have 0 grams of trans fats! I have enjoyed spreading some soft cheese on them as a pre-dinner treat, and it was super tasty.

Idahoan Foods: Smokey Cheese and Bacon and Cheddar Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes

I was so excited to see the Idahoan Mashed Potatoes packets in the Degustabox again! They are one of my favorite brands because these mashed potatoes are always so tasty, that’s it a hard to believe they come from a bag. They are made with 100% real Idaho potatoes and can be made within minutes for a quick delicious side to your meal. The Smokey Cheese and Bacon Mashed Potatoes sound like a great dinner option for my picky eater 2 year old, especially when there are little bits of bacon in it as added protein!

MariNara Almond Butter: Caramel, Dark Chocolate and Coconut

I love getting yummy sweet spreads, especially when they come in travel-sized packets for those on-the-go snacks. It’s the perfect way to jazz up those peanut butter sandwiches for the kids at lunch time, or simply use as a spread on your morning toast. I personally loved the creamy caramel flavor on a warmed up English Muffin to accompany my tea at the end of the day, as a little dessert.

Vitabella Cereal: Strawberry Pillows Flavor

I’m Italian, so when I saw Vitabella Cereal came straight from Italy, I got really excited! This cereal is one of the healthiest breakfast options I have seen in a long time. It’s organic, gluten-free, vegan, soy-free, low-fat and has no artificial colors added. Since my daughter has gone on a cereal obsession craze, this cereal may be the perfect alternative for her in the morning. I think she will love the sweet and natural strawberry filling with each bite.

La Tortilla Factory: Low Carb Flour Tortillas

The product of the month for Degustabox is this popular tortilla that is low in carbs and calories, and filled with fiber and protein. These tortillas are definitely a guilt-free way to indulge in those taco nights with the family without worrying about the carb count. With only 4 grams net carbs, each of these tortilla s are made with 3 grams of protein, and just 45 calories. Healthy and delicious!

Michel et Augustin: Cookie Squares

These scrumptious cookie squares are a great bite-size snack to satisfy your sweet cravings. These treats are baked with butter and chocolate straight from France. The combination of crispy shortbread and creamy chocolate ganache made my mouth water after I took the first bite. It was decadent, and totally a snack that wouldn’t last long in my house.

Lundberg Family Farms: Vanilla Chai Flavored Baked Grain Bites

These organic baked grain bites are an awesome alternate to grabbing a bag of chips and going to town. The Lundberg Family Farms has been dedicated to providing top quality rice snacks to the community. With the perfect mixture of rich vanilla, warm cinnamon, and exotic spices to enhance that Vanilla Chai flavor, these bites are completely and utterly delicious! This snack is a smart way to get that serving of whole grains into your diet, with a taste you will love.

Smashmallow: SMASH CRISPY Cinnamon Churro and Strawberries and Cream

The Smash Crispy is a sweet rice treat made with only the most simple ingredients and greatest flavors. Made from the best natural foods, gluten-free and is GMO-free, these Smash Crispy snacks are a great afternoon snack to indulge in, with only 130 calories per serving. I especially enjoyed the sweet flavors of the cinnamon and churro Smash Crispy.

Sweet Baby Ray’s: Gourmet Hot Sauce

This hearty kick of aged cayenne and garlic is one of Sweet Baby Ray’s brand new sauces that you will find yourself adding to everything to spice things up a bit. I’m familiar with the Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue Sauce and love it! So when I came across this new hot sauce from the same company, I knew it had to be good. This hot sauce is definitely something you want to have on hand to add that balance blend of heat and flavor to your dish.

Degustabox Review January 2019 – Final Thoughts

This January Degustabox was filled with some delicious sweet treats, and great ingredients to contribute to a yummy homemade meal. I was happy to find that most sweets in the Degustabox continue to be made from natural foods and are healthy for the whole family. One of my favorite items from the Degustabox was the Vitabella cereal. It was not too sweet like a lot of other cereals and made for the perfect evening snack!

Until next time!
