Degustabox Review October 2018

Degustabox is a subscription food box, jam-packed with brand new, full-sized treats (worth nearly $40) from some of the most exciting brands out there! They bring you delicious new products delivered straight to your door every month. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Here’s a closer look at the items I received in the October box…..

Pirate’s Booty Age White Cheddar

This is a great cheesy snack to enjoy on those family movie nights. Made without any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, this is a scrumptious crunchy treat that everyone will enjoy. I loved that the bag is decorated in a Halloween theme and comes in a variety of flavors. Definitely something that gets me excited for the fall.

Idahoan Steakhouse Creamy Potato Soup

Nothing says fall better than warming up with a perfect hearty soup on a chilly rainy day. This delicious soup is made from real red potatoes and red potato skins. I mean, who doesn’t love the comfort of that classic creamy potato soup?! It’s a quick little something to make for lunch, and will fill you up fast.

Tasty Cakes: Peanut Butter Candy Cakes/ Chocolate Junior Yellow Layer Cake

Yum! Tasty Cakes? Yes, please! This treat is a great dessert option to fulfill that lingering chocolate craving after dinner. These baked fresh sweet cakes are coated in delicious chocolate and come in two flavors: Peanut Butter Candy Cakes and Chocolate Junior Yellow Layer Cake. My daughter’s favorite treat is chocolate, so she would be all over the Chocolate Junior Yellow Cake, and then it would be all over her…and my kitchen floor, as per usual. I would love to indulge in one of these as a “special Mommy snack” to get me through the day.

Bahlsen Waffeletten

These crispy chocolate wafers are perfect to have with coffee. Made into a fine crisp layer and then dipped into a rich European chocolate, this snack is sure to please. I would totally love dipping one of these into my coffee in the morning when no one else was looking… especially on those early 5am wake up calls from your toddler. These kinds of treats are just what I would serve at our regular Mommy/Baby playdates as well.

Sixlets Chewy Candy: Fruity and Chocolate Flavor

Let’s be honest, sometimes you need a pick me up in the afternoon while the baby naps. This chewy snack are made up of pebble-sized candies that come in either a fruity or chocolate flavor. The fruity flavor was definitely my favorite. With the Halloween season in full swing, it’s also an awesome treat to stock up on to fill up your candy bowl. It’s gluten-free, nut-free, and the perfect kind of goody for those older trick or treaters.

Caribe Bar (Banana and Chocolate)

This is one yummy bar for when you need to grab a quick snack before running out the door. With a tasty banana filling covered in a delicious combination of Garoto milk chocolate, this bar will absolutely keep you satisfied. It’s a bar to crunch on while driving in the car, or at the grocery store when you suddenly want to eat everything in your cart. Wait, that’s just me?

Sea Salt Caramel Roca

This is one delicious gooey sweet that will melt in your mouth and make you want more. Caramelized from fresh local butter sugar, a blend of cocoa beans and California Almonds, this treat is full of tasty richness. The Sea Salt Caramel Roca is a sweet that I would serve at dessert time for our guests, or stick in my bag to have on a little outdoor picnic. And who are we kidding? It’s a great treat to be snacking on for Halloween while dishing out the “meh” candy to all of the kids. That’s right, you got the good stuff!

Bush’s Salad Booster: Garlic Roasted Chickpeas

After indulging in all these tasty sweets that Degustabox has to offer, something yummy to top off your salad is just what you need to keep yourself from slipping into a sugar coma. These Garlic Toasted Chickpeas are the savory crunch you are looking for to go along with a healthy salad for lunch. I would also eat the chickpeas right out of the bag for a quick protein booster before I start prepping dinner in the late afternoon.

Sunspire Peanut Butter Chips

Now that fall is here, so is baking season! These peanut butter chips are the perfect ingredient to spice up your cookie recipe, or even bake into a delicious muffin. My daughter would love these as a simple dessert after dinner. You would definitely have to hide these from me at night, because I would take the bag and run.

Welch’s Fruit Snacks

The Welch’s Fruit Snacks are a great sweet to have on the go for my daughter. Not only are the treat of choice for your little one, but they are also gluten-free, fat-free and made with real fruit! My daughter absolutely loves fruit snacks. They are easy for her to chew and she loves all the delicious fruity flavors.

Degustabox Review October 2018 – Final Thoughts

The October Degustabox was really fun to open because it had a ton of Halloween treats and sweets. Definitely got me in the mood for trick or treating with my little one, and gave me great ideas on what goodies to put in the candy bowl.

Happy Halloween everyone!
