Earth Wax and Fire Review March 2017

Earth Wax and Fire was started by a family in Israel wanting more time to spend with their family and less time working the grind.  I love stories like this.  There is nothing like a family risking to achieve what is most precious, time together.  Each month, they personally select an artisanal candle and a matching ceramic bowl.  Carefully boxed and shipped with love, from Israel’s Mediterranean seashore.  Try a month-to-month subscription, or enjoy some savings with a 3, 6, or 12-month pre-paid subscription. They kindly sent us this box for review.

We’re a small family business and appreciate your support for us and other artisans in Israel. Your satisfaction is guaranteed!

As soon as I opened the box scent poured out!  This candle has got to be one of the richest smelling candles my nose has ever been laid on.  I really liked the packaging and that each item was wrapped individually.

Once further unwrapped the smell got even stronger!  I don’t even think you would need to light this candle to get the full effect of it providing a delicious atmosphere to your home!

Handmade Ceramic “Greenery” Bowl

Greenery is a colour widely used by trend-setters in the fashion and home decor industry because it was named the 2017 “Colour of the Year”.  Many in the industry feel it’s a refreshing and revitalizing shade that’s symbolic of new beginnings.

I love this little dish!  It’s made perfectly to fit the candle inside.  I would also consider using a dish like this for beside the bed to hold precious jewelry such as wedding rings or earrings.  It’s a perfect size for that.

Velvet Crystal Soap Rolls

Specially made to add a fresh scent to cupboards and drawers, these soap rolls are exclusively from the Spring Perfume House of Even Yehuda, Israel.  They were handmade by people participating in a vocational program at a local rehabilitation hospital.

What a beautiful product!  They came within a small mesh bag, which can be easily placed in an underwear drawer, hung in a laundry room or bathroom, or separate them and place them all over the house!  They smell and feel divine.  I just love that they are created within a rehabilitation centre.  Crafting and creating is so therapeutic.

Earth Wax and Fire March 2017 – Final Thoughts

I really didn’t know what to expect when I received this box.  Once I opened it up the smell alone was enough to convince me that this box was worth it!  I find the items inside to be well made, decent sizes and packaged with care!  You can tell this family is really putting themselves out there with this business and putting all they have into it.  I love supporting families and local companies.  To be able to do this through a subscription box for a family as far away as Israel is really cool!

I’m in love!

Thank you, Shona! We’re really moved by your comments. The photos are fantastic, too! We’re glad you enjoyed the box. Wanted to let you know more about this month’s scents… The candle was created with a light yet tempting essence of peach, accented with touches of amber, roses, jasmine and French patchouli. The soap rolls have a special scent made for cupboards and drawers that’s reminiscent of frankincense, sandalwood, and cedar.
