Elizabeth & Clarke Review Winter 2017

Elizabeth & Clarke is a seasonal subscription service for designer-quality blouses and tees. You can choose to receive one shirt per season, two shirts, or three. They kindly sent us this box for review.

I don’t know about you, but I love receiving clothes in the mail. It saves me a trip to the mall, and allows me to try things on in the comfort of my own home. In addition to that, 2017 was a year full of changes for me in regards to my wardrobe. I purged 75% of my clothing and accessories and completely transformed my style. I’ve come to appreciate quality pieces and simple styles. As a result of all these changes, I have also come to appreciate subscription boxes like Elizabeth & Clarke.

Subscription Details

Elizabeth & Clarke offers 3 different subscription options:

  • 2 shirts every season for $50 per shirt
  • 3 shirts every season for $40 per shirt

Here’s a closer look at the Winter styles……

The Collins

Say goodbye to bulky layers! The Collins is a two-in-one sweater that will make you look ‘put together’ with out having to put anything together. The camel mèlange and light blue colors make it so easy to pair with The Banks trousers for the office or your favorite jeans for a more casual look.

First of all, how C.U.T.E does this top look with my cord skirt!? I didn’t pair these pieces together on purpose, I simply added a skirt to my mannequin so the bottom half wasn’t naked. Any who……besides the fact that I love the way these pieces look together, I am also LOVING the style of this top. I’ve always wanted a top like this because I love the look of a blouse layered under a sweater, but I hate the added bulk. This top might look like it’s two pieces but it’s actually only one. I think this is my favourite Elizabeth & Clarke top to date.

The Bancroft

The Bancroft is both classic and timeless. The Bancroft is a beautiful black top made with our signature Ponte de Roma knit fabric detailed with vegan suede panels. Made with three-quarter-length sleeves for just the right amount of winter coverage. Of course we didn’t forget to make the Bancroft Unstainable® with a Sweatproof™ lining!

Black tops are always a good idea. Even after purging my closet and keeping only the most essential pieces I still have a few black tops because they go with everything. I love that this one is made with unstainable fabric, but it’s quite heavy. It will be perfect for the cooler months, but not so good in the warmer months.

The Quinn

The Quinn is a chic A-line heather grey popover blouse made with our new Vegan Silk™fabric combined with our Unstainable® technology. Tuck this style into the Roberts pencil skirt for simple elegance at the office or pair it wth leather pants for an edgier weekend look.

Lastly we have The Quinn. This particular style is (and always has been) a favourite. I love loose-fitting, flowy blouses. This will look great with a pencil skirt or a pair pf jeans. The color is gorgeous and will go with everything. I ordered a size bigger this month than I normally order and I love that this piece will be a tad big on me. I’d rather it be loose than fitted.

Elizabeth & Clarke Review Winter 2017 – Final Thoughts

I’m not sure if Elizabeth & Clarke will be able to top the Winter collection. These are my kind of tops. Neutral colors, simples styles, and versatility at its best. I’m still swooning over the The Collins. I can’t wait to rock it with my cord skirt, black tights and Hunter Boots. Sometimes E&C styles are a little too dressy for me, but that’s only because I no longer work in an office. If I still had an office job, I would be ten times more excited about my tops from Elizabeth & Clarke, but with that being said, I feel like the Winter collection is the perfect mixture of dressy and casual. I have no doubt I will be wearing The Collins and The Quinn on a regular basis.

XOXO
