Fit Snack Review January 2017

Fit Snack is a monthly subscription snack box designed to fuel your healthy lifestyle. With Fit Snack you can count on innovative snacks, coupons and monthly workouts designed by their Personal Trainer. They kindly sent us this box for review.

This will be my first time reviewing Fit Snack, so you know what they means, I spent some time on their website prior to the review and did some snooping around. I found the website to be pretty straight forward. You simply sign up for a subscription and choose the length – monthly, 3-month, 6-month or 12-month. If you go for the longer subscriptions it appears as though you will receive bonus items. They don’t have monthly themes but they do include a product card.

Here’s a look at the items I received in the January Fit Snack Box:

Made in Nature Figgy Pops Tart Cherry Fig Supersnacks

Talk about a true original—our Tart Cherry Fig Figgy Pops are the supersnack that started it all. Well, actually, nature started it all (we best give credit where it’s due). From tart cherries, figs and dates to walnuts, cashews and a coconut coating so official it should be notarized, these bites are fit to feed the likes of superheroes, and that means you.

This is the kind of snack I like to have in the pantry. It is sweetened with dates and maple syrup, and contains ingredients such as coconut, cherries, walnuts and cacao nibs. It has the kind of ingredient list I look for.

Keen One Quinoa Chipotle Quinoa Cup

Tri Color Quinoa combined with Hemp meet Roasted Corn, Black Beans & Chipotle Peppers that make you feel like you are in the Corazon of Mexico.. Saludos!

Isn’t this just the best idea ever! Instead of a noodle cup full of “bad for you” ingredients, we have a quinoa cup full of “good for you” ingredients –  ingredient I can pronounce. I may need to find out where I can purchase a few more of these.

ChocoRite Peanut Butter Protein Bar

Healthsmart ChocoRite Protein Bars make it easy to stay in control. The leader in zero impact chocolate now brings you protein bars that are as delicious as they are healthy. Whether you need blood sugar control or weight loss, ChocoRite’s exclusive formula of erythritol sweetened snacks keeps your blood sugar low and your cravings satisfied. No maltitol.

I’m happy to see a protein bar in the mix, and one that is sugar-free. It only has 100 calories, and still manages to pack in 9 grams of protein.

Chops Teriyaki Beef Jerky

At Chops we believe that jerky shouldn’t be another thing in your life that you have to wrestle with. High-quality beef is tender, not tough. So why shouldn’t you start expecting more from your beef jerky as well? We think you should, and that is why we created a product that tastes like a fresh steak, with high-quality ingredients that you can find in any chef’s kitchen. We use only natural ingredients paired with our unique slicing and marinating techniques, resulting in a jerky that is unparalleled in tenderness and taste.

This is obviously something I won’t be eating, thanks to my vegan diet, but Ashley is going to be very excited about it. Lots of people love beef jerky so I can certainly see why they included it in the box.

Purely Inspired Organic Greens

Purely Inspired Organic Greens Plus Superfoods & Multivitamins is an incredibly clean formula that contains no artificial sweeteners, colors or dyes, to ensure you are putting only the highest quality of nutrition in your body. Not only is this amazing product certified USDA organic, it’s also gluten free, non-GMO and 100% vegan friendly! You couldn’t ask for a cleaner way to nourish your body!

This is amazing! I try to make a smoothie or smoothie bowl at least 4 times a week, if not more, and I always try to include some sort of protein powder or greens powder. This will come in very handy. I like that it is naturally sweetened, often times these kind of powders contain hidden sugar, and I like that it has 18 vitamins and minerals, and active probiotics.

Salad Power

Salad Power is a drinkable salad – no fork required! By putting superfood veggies first, our juices are lower in calories and sugar and higher in vitamins than all the other guys. Check out our labels if you don’t believe us.

This makes me VERY excited. I try to make a batch of juice every week and incorporate it into my daily diet. This little juice box only contains fruits and veggies, that’s it! With a majority of the ingredients being veggies as opposed to fruit. That is what I am talking about.

Love Grown Foods Super Oats

This was my bonus item for the month. It was really sweet of them to include it, and it’s perfect for a quick breakfast, but the second ingredient is brown sugar. Since I’m trying to eliminate all sugar from my diet the BF will get to enjoy this one.

Fit Snack Review January 2017

I feel very happy and satisfied with my first Fit Snack experience. I like the variety of items, and the fact that they included a full-size jar of greens powder. I feel like that adds a lot of value to the box. Other than that we received a convenient breakfast & lunch option, a couple snack options and a beverage. It certainly is a nice mixture of items. This is a box I would like to see a couple more times before making a final decision, but so far we are off to a good start. I will definitely be keeping my eye on this one.
