Frank And Oak Style Plan Review June 2017

Frank And Oak Style Plan is the new and easy Frank + Oak service that offers great styles at up to 25% off. Customers can get up to 4 personalized recommendations for $79 USD ($89 CAD) every month or every 2 months and choose the items they want to receive and when they want them.

Just in time for Father’s Day, we are reviewing the Frank And Oak Men’s Style Plan. Last month I got to review the Women’s Plan and was extremely happy with what I received. This month I got to order a few things for the BF and was super excited to check out the Men’s clothes.

Subscription Details

With the Style Plan, you pay a monthly price of $79 USD ($89 CAD), and in exchange you’ll receive 5 tokens. These tokens can be traded in for items from your Style Plan recommendations page. Using tokens allows you to save up to 25% off our regular prices.

Generally, a crewneck t-shirt is valued at 1 token, 2 tokens for a button-up, and a pair of pants is 3 tokens. For example, with your 5 tokens this month, you could get a button-up and 3 t-shirts. The token value of every item will be indicated on the Style Plan recommendations page.

Here’s a look at what we received for June:

Crewneck Pocket T-Shirt in Black – Size XL

Going back to basics. Stock up on the essentials to survive the season, starting with the ultimate underlayer: the crewneck tee.

The BF is pretty basic when it comes to clothes so I knew I had to get a plain tee. Black is always a good option and the pocket adds just a touch of detail. The BF is very tall so this was a bit of a risk. It’s always a gamble whether or a not an x-large will be long enough for him. Having it in front of me now I can tell it will definitely be too short. Luckily the next 2 shirts were available in tall sizes, something that I wasn’t aware of at first and was very excited to discover……

The Short-Sleeve Odessa Chambray Shirt in Black – Size XLT

Comfortable enough to rival an old favourite tee or worn in denim shirt, this soft chambray short-sleeve has casual appeal in a sophisticated package.

Now that the weather has warmed up I figured it would be a good idea to add some short-sleeve dress shirts to the BF’s closet. This one is perfect because it is dressy without being too dressy. It won’t put him out of his comfort zone too far and will look great with jeans. In regards to the sizing, as I mentioned above I was SUPER excited to discover that it was available in tall sizes. He is 6’7 and it can be extremely difficult to find shirts that are long enough for him. Upon first glance it looks like it might be a good fit. I help it up against a plaid button-up he currently has in his closet, one that fits him perfectly, and they appear to be almost the same size, the Frank + Oak shirt might be just a tiny bit shorter.

The Jasper Oxford Shirt in Light Grey – Size XLT

Our Jasper Oxford Shirt is a classic, slim-fitting wardrobe mainstay that’s crafted for comfort from ultra-soft cotton. Available in a variety of colors, this staple is a great choice for day or night, summer or winter.

Again I was able to order this shirt in size tall. I’m still not over the fact that Frank + Oak offers this sizing option. I am beyond excited about it. I wanted to keep things as casual as possible so I went with a similar top to the last one, just a shade lighter and this time with long-sleeves. The BF will get dressed up on special occasions so this will be a good option for that, and it will pair nicely with dress pants. But at the same time he can dress it down with jeans and casual shoes.

Frank + Oak Style Plan Review June 2017 – Final Thoughts

Well, it’s official! Frank and Oak is my new go-to subscription for fashion. Not only do I LOVE the Women’s Style Plan, I am also a huge fan of the Men’s Style Plan thanks to the sizing options. This month was a bit of a test run for us as I never know what to expect when it comes to men’s clothes, will they fit, won’t they fit, etc. But at first glance it appears as though the two dress shirts we ordered this month will be a good fit. The t-shirt was a test order and sadly it just isn’t going to be long enough. I don’t think they have tall size options in their t-shirts yet, but maybe this will be something they add in the future. Until then we will stick with the dress shirts and just be happy to have discovered an online store with at least a few options for tall men. Overall I am extremely happy with my first Men’s Style Plan and will definitely be ordering from them again in the future.

XOXO
