Frank and Oak Style Plan Review May 2017

Frank And Oak Style Plan is the new and easy Frank + Oak service that offers great styles at up to 25% off. Customers can get up to 4 personalized recommendations for $79 USD ($89 CAD) every month or every 2 months and choose the items they want to receive and when they want them.

Frank And Oak Style Plan is a new Canadian Fashion Subscription Service that we just discovered. It’s pretty darn exciting because fashion subscription boxes are few and far between. Clothing is one of the hardest items to offer in a subscription bow, but also one of the best items to offer in a subscription box…..in my opinion. Let’s have a look at our subscription options….

Subscription Details

With the Style Plan, you pay a monthly price of $79 USD ($89 CAD), and in exchange you’ll receive 5 tokens. These tokens can be traded in for items from your Style Plan recommendations page. Using tokens allows you to save up to 25% off our regular prices.

Generally, a crewneck t-shirt is valued at 1 token, 2 tokens for a button-up, and a pair of pants is 3 tokens. For example, with your 5 tokens this month, you could get a button-up and 3 t-shirts. The token value of every item will be indicated on the Style Plan recommendations page.

Here’s a look at the items I chose this month…..

The Debbie High-Waisted Skinny Jean in Washed Black ($79.50)

Ready for frequent wear and endless versatility, the high waisted skinny jean is a wardrobe staple made to wear with whatever the day fancies. This product has a comfort fit. For a tighter fit, we suggest taking the next size down. Available in sizes 24 – 31.

I am all about the high-waisted jeans right now. I can’t get enough of them. I don’t even like to wear my regular jeans anymore….it’s becoming a problem. I decided to get the washed black jeans this month because I love the faded look. I wasn’t sure how they were going to fit, and was a little nervous. I usually wear size 25 in jeans so that is the size I went with. They are little snug around the waist but still wearable. I LOVE them!!

Scoop Neck Tee in Bright White ($26.50)

Soft and fluid, the classic crewneck gets a stylish level up with a basic that is as much simple blouse as it is essential tee. Available in sizes XS – XL.

Classic t-shirts are another style I am loving right now. I get a size or two bigger than I normally would because I love the oversize, slouchy fit. I pair them with my high-waisted jeans and tie a knot in the front or on the side……so dang cute!!! I ordered size small and could easily wear an x-small for a more fitted look or a medium for a really oversize look.

Here are a some of the other pieces I am currently lusting over…..

Frank + Oak Style Plan Review May 2017 – Final Thoughts

I am OBSESSING over this new fashion subscription!! Frank And Oak Style Plan fits my style preferences perfectly. It’s not going to be for everyone, it definitely has a minimalist style vibe going on and will only appeal to certain shoppers. I for one LOVE this style of clothing. I like neutral colours, basic pieces, and classic/comfortable styles. I also love the oversized fit of some of their pieces (mostly their dresses), and I am in love with their shoes. I could easily outfit my entire wardrobe with Frank + Oak styles. But, like I mentioned, this definitely isn’t going to appeal to everyone.

In regards to the Style Plan, I’m not sure I am in love with the process. I don’t really like the idea of tokens. It took me a couples weeks to pick out my items because a few of the pieces I wanted were 5 tokens which means I wouldn’t have been able to get anything else. I also found that some of the pieces I really wanted were more than 5 tokens. I would love to see them simplify the process, I’m just not sure what that looks like. Regardless, I’ve found a new favourite online shop for clothing…….there are easily 10 or 15 pieces I want to add to my wardrobe ASAP…….do they have a style plan for those of us who are obsessed?

XOXO

I’m curious about the material of the white top… did you find it was see-through at all, or was it a fairly sturdy fabric? Finding white tops that aren’t totally transparent is so hard these days I’m finding, and it’s hard to tell from pictures what the fabric is really like. Thanks!

    1. Hi:) It is slightly see-through, but it works well with a beige bra under it. With a beige bra it is totally wearable. It is soft, and I love that it has a seam down the back.
