Gentleman’s Box Review July 2017

Gentleman’s Box is a subscription box that caters to the modern gentleman. Each month honors a noteworthy gentleman from the past or present. Items in their subscription box for men are hand selected to reflect the carefully crafted image of that month’s honored gentleman. Four to five products, including a subscription to GQ magazine, arrive at your doorstep monthly. They kindly sent us this box to review. 

I have been reviewing Gentleman’s Box for quite some time and I can say with certainty that they are one of the best men’s subscription boxes on the market. The provide great value, quality items, and it’s really fun to see what theme they come up with each month, or who the noteworthy gentleman will be….

July Theme

The July 2017 Box honors our favorite “Comical Character!” Items include:

Dead Soxy Socks ($12)

Here’s a little info on Dead Soxy Socks (which I love by the way): no slip, no fall, no shrink, no fade, comfortable and versatile.

This month’s color combo is pretty awesome. I kind of want to keep them for myself.

Twillory Tie ($39)

At first glance I wasn’t really loving this tie, but the more I look at it the more I start to appreciate it. It’s a really great shade of purple, and when you put it beside the socks and pocket square it looks really great.

Salt + Dapper Micro Check Pocket Square ($19)

This pocket square complements the tie perfectly. I love that it is the same colors as the tie, but not as bright. This is curation at it’s best.

Dibi Silver Lattice Tie Bar ($38)

Absolutely love this tie bar. I prefer a more understated tie bar as I feel like you don’t want it to take away from the tie. Therefore I tend to lean towards simple designs. This one is simple with just the right amount of detail.

Niche For Men – Multi-Wash

I love that this is a multi-tasker. Use it as a body wash, shampoo or to shave. I kind of want the women’s version of this. I hate having a ton of products in the shower. If I could just have one or two products that would take care of everything I would be a happy camper.

Gentleman’s Box Review July 2017 – Final Thoughts

Gentleman’s Box did a really great job this month. I like that the items are simple, nothing to over-the-top or flashy, but still fun. We received all the essentials this month – tie, socks, pocket square and tie bar. I consider these men’s box essentials. From time to time Gentleman’s Box will mix it up and throw in something different like sunglasses, coasters, a wallet, etc….. and as much as I love those boxes, I still really appreciate the classic boxes, such as this one.
