Gramma in a Box Review July 2019

Gramma in a Box is a monthly box of cookies, candy crafts and almost all the supplies you need to make up to 20 edible treats.

Gramma in a Box ships every box promptly on the 1st of each month or even before. This month we received our box a few days before July 4th and it gave us plenty of time to set up and decorate our 4th of July cookies!

Here’s my video unboxing:

I was so glad when I saw the theme because as usual, Gramma in a Box saves me a ton of time and hassle when it comes to making sweet treats and crafts for my kiddos. They absolutely love the red cookie box.

This month the theme was, naturally, July 4th and we got 3 fun candy crafts to make.

We always receive a product card with a list of everything included and the materials we might need from our home. It’s never too much or anything you have to go and buy: Gramma sends you everything you need from the store and even puts the icing inside sleeves.

July Box Contents:

  • 8 cookies: 4 star cookies in 2 sizes, 2 round scalloped cookies, 2 rectangle (flag) cookies
  • pretzel rods
  • 4 types of red, white and blue shimmies and sprinkles
  • red sugar
  • red, white and blue icing in their sleeves
  • waffle pretzels
  • melting chocolate
  • peanuts
  • 2 sheets of parchment paper
  • mini cupcake cups
Project 1: Sparkler Pretzel Rods

The first project was fun and delicious! We had to melt the chocolate that was white with red and blue confetti and then dip the rods into different toppings, then place on the parchment paper to dry. The melting chocolate tasted so good!

Project 2: Golden Peanut Bites

Using the waffle pretzels, the peanuts and the rest of the melting chocolate we spooned a bit of the chocolate on top of the pretzel (that we placed inside the cupcake cup) and then topped with peanuts and sprinkles. Yum!

Project 3: Patriotic Cookie Decorating

My kids’ favorite part! We went to town here and learned about the colors of the American flag, what the stars mean and just had some fun together!

Gramma in a Box July 2019 –  Final Thoughts

The cookies in this month’s Gramma in a Box tasted so good, I tried a few this time. I am always impressed at how fresh they arrive. The icing is delicious and the sprinkles and sugar were super fun for the kids. Another win from Gramma in a Box!
