Little Life Box Review November 2016

Little Life Box Review November 2016

Do you all love Little Life Box as much as I do? I like really, really love this box. But I’m not sure if it’s because I am obsessed with health food, and natural products, or if it’s because it’s just an awesome subscription box in general. Regardless…..I love this box.

Little Life Box Details

If you aren’t familiar with Little Life Box it is a Canadian subscription box that gives you the opportunity to sample and experience new green, organic and health conscious products in a convenient and fun way that saves you money. Little Life Box kindly sent me this box to review.

Here’s a look at the items I received this month:

Pink Andean Table Salt – Altura

Pink andean table salt from Bolivia. The non-treated pink salt is harvested at 3000 meters above sea level in the heart of the Andes Mountains. The unique and elegant pink color comes from the minerals and trace elements found in the pure ancient sea salt deposits.

Since quitting sugar I’ve found that I have been using more salt than I normally do. I’m not 100% sure why that is, I have a couple guesses, but the point is…..I love cooking with salt. I make sure it is sitting beside the stove while I prepare my meals, and I add a little here and there……and here and there….

Gum – Spearmint – Spry

We don’t want to be walking around with bad breath, like ever! So this tube of sugar-free gum comes in real handy. You can just pop it in your bag and use it when you most need it.

I don’t chew gum as much as I use to, but if I do, it is this brand.

Soothing Salve – Coughs colds sniffles too – Seabuckthorn

We love the way we feel after smelling this soothing salve: awake and relaxed. It helps clear your airways and is especially good for the winter season when you’re feeling under the weather and congested. Contains naturally healing Seabuckthorn, Eucalyptus, Ravintsara, Peppermint and Ravensara Oils.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the way this smells. It’s one of my favourites scents ever. I could just sit and smell this all day. It’s the perfect little product to keep in my purse during the colder months.

Raw Mixed Nuts – Unsalted – FoodFix

Nothing is worse than not being able to find food when you need it. Keeping healthy snacks on hand at all times is a must. These unsalted nuts are the perfect thing to give you an afternoon boost: cashews, almonds, filberts, brazil nuts and walnuts.

I love this nut blend. Brazil nuts are my favourite and they rarely include them in nut mixtures.

Energy Water – Pomegranate – Guru

Rare are the times when a company launches a new product that’s better than the original – but Guru just did it. We’re not ones to encourage the consumption of energy drinks, but this Organic Energy Water is right up our ally. It’s made with caffeine from green tea and ingredients that we recognize and love. It’s definitely our go-to alternative to coffee. So refreshing!

Tortilla Chips – Grilled Habanero – Paqui

If you think you’ve tasted spicy chips before, think again. These habanero tortilla chips take spicy to a whole new level.

I love chips and I love spicy anything. This is a new brand for me and I love discovering new brands. It’s one of the reasons this subscription is so much fun.

Shampoo – North American Hemp Co.

This shampoo is making us want to wash our hair everyday. It’s made with certified organic hemp seed oil helps repair split ends and adds incredible shine.

I have used this shampoo before and really love it. I just wish we would have received the conditioner to go with it.

Gum – Cinnamon – Spry

Guess what guys? Sugar is bad for you. Aspartame is also bad for you. Spry Gum is sweetened with xylitol—a natural sweetener. Xylitol doesn’t allow bacteria to stick to teeth. This unique quality means the bacteria can’t colonize in the mouth. Because they can’t thrive, they also can’t produce their bi-product, acid, which is the culprit to tooth decay and cavities.

I feel like we received a lot of gum in this month’s box. I would have liked for them to switch it out for another product and maybe include one of the gum products from this month in next month’s box……space it out a bit.

Yoga & Fitness Gear Wash – Fashion Care

We’re sure you’ve already heard of eco-friendly laundry detergent, but what about a wash that’s made for yoga & fitness gear? The odour protection increases with every wash, it Restores fabric breathability and moisture-wicking by removing body oils and perspiration and helps Fabrics stay soft with added cotton extract.

Little Life Box Review November 2016 – Final Thoughts

This definitely isn’t my favourite box from Little Life Box, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like it. We received some great products (as we always do) I just feel like it’s missing something. It might be because we received some very cool products in the last couple boxes, products that got me very excited. I also know that I’m not going to love every box, but the important part is whether or not I am going to use the products and in this case I certainly will.

XOXO
