Locality Box Review Fall 2018

Locality Box is a quarterly subscription box service featuring 5-7 artisanally inspired Okanagan products, businesses and brands. Their boxes are curated to reflect the seasons and will be shipped in the months of March (spring), June (summer), September (fall) and December (winter). They kindly sent us this box for review.

This will be our second time reviewing Locality Box, they are based in the Okanagan and they are contributing to the ‘SHOP LOCAL’ movement by providing their members with easy access to beautiful, artisanally made, local products.

We got to review Locality Box for the first time back in June and we absolutely LOVED our first box. It was packaged beautifully and it was full of amazing local products. Needless to say I was pretty darn excited to see this box arrive at my house the other day. Fall boxes are my favourite!!!

Now….let’s have a closer look at the Fall Box….

Chaibaba Lavender Lady Grey

Lavender and bergamot beautifully combine to create an exquisite ‘Lady’ earl grey black tea. Lovely Aroma, decadently delicious.

Chaibaba is the cutest little tea shop located right here in my hometown. I use to stop there often because they have the most amazing coconut green tea lattes. I was very excited to see a bag of tea in the Fall box because I drink tea every day this time of year. I have a feeling this particular blend would make a lovely latte.

Okanagan Candle Co. Fall Candle

This amazing candle hasn’t made it to the Okanagan Candle Co. website yet so I don’t have any info on it other than it smells AH-MAZING!!! Oh my goodness. This is officially my new favourite candle. I’m dying for it to be added to the website because I need 5 more of these ASAP.

Okanagan Candle Co. if you are listening……can you PLEASE start a monthly candle subscription?!

Lavender & Grace Earrings

How pretty are these earrings! I’ve heard great things about this jewelry line but until now I didn’t have any of their pieces in my collection. I love the size of these earrings, just big enough to make a statement without being too over the top.

Epic Blend Coconut Coffee Scrub

Ground Arabica coffee, demerara sugar, pacific sea salt, green tea extract, and coconut extract for an out of this world scent…and smooooooth skin.

I love a good scrub…..especially a coffee scrub. Not only does it smell amazing but it’s a great way to wake yourself up while pampering your skin. And the fact that it also includes coconut makes it that much better.

Epic Blend Dry Hair Hydrating Oil

This lightweight oil lays down some heavyweight hydration. Marshmallow and Nettle extracts combined with Argan, Coconut, Avocado and Olive oils deliver loads of vitamins, nutrients and moisture for shiny, happy, healthy hair.

This is a wonderful product for a Fall box. I don’t know about you, but this time of year is when my hair needs a little TLC. I make an effort to hydrate my hair during the cooler months in order to prevent breakage. I can see myself using this for a little extra moisture during the day but I might also apply it at night as a hydrating hair mask.

The Market Bags Reusable Produce Bag

These drawstring bags are perfect for your local grocery store, farmers market or fruit stand. Unique and simple cotton fabrics make these the best reusable produce bags.

Oh……this is exciting. I love any sort of reusable bag so this item is absolutely perfect for me. It’s made from 100% upcycled cotton and will be perfect for trips to the grocery store. I would love a few more of these.

Om Naturale Bath Bliss Bath Salts

Epsom Salt, Omgrown Wildcrafted St. John’s Wort Oil, Omgrown Roses, Lavender, Calendula & Red Clover combine with Essential oils of; Rosewood, Ylang, Ylang, Cinnamon and Vanilla to create this one of a kind relaxing experience.

Lastly we have some lovely bath salts which will come in handy on those cold Fall days when all you want to do is sit in a hot bath with a big ol’ cup of tea and a good book. How nice does that sound?!

Locality Box Review Fall 2018 – Final Thoughts

Locality Box has done it again. They have put together a beautiful box full of local goodies. I love the variety of items we received, with the candle being my absolute favourite item in the box. It adds a lovely Fall vibe which is exactly what I was hoping for. There are so many things I love about this box – the fact that they support local companies, the mixture of items we receive, the curation, the attention to detail and the packaging. It would make an amazing gift, for a loved one or yourself, due to the fact that we receive a little bit of everything. This season we received jewelry, haircare, skin care, tea, a candle and an earth-friendly item. The Fall box has me eager to receive the Winter box…….I can’t wait to see what they come up with for that one!

XOXO
