Here’s a closer look at the items I received this month….

Included in every box is a mini beauty magazine that gives you in-depth details of each product, full instructions, and upcoming news!

For the month of August, NoMakeNoLife curated mainly exfoliation items to keep your skin looking refreshed and renewed from head to toe. Exfoliation is especially important to keep your skin smooth and looking its best.

Exfoliation Bubble Pack

Despite the item being called “Cuticle Bubble Pack,” which was confusing for me, cuticle can also refer to your outer skin (not just your nails). This mini bubble pack contains 8g of product, dispenses as a white gel and applies clear. It starts to bubble up almost immediately and feels cooling on the skin! To use, just apply a small amount on your nose and continue to rub it as it foams up. The carbonation lifts up dead skin cells and dirt from within your pores leaving your nose clean from excess sebum and dirt that can clog your pores. I find that it does leave my nose feeling clean and refreshed, but only noticed a small reduction in my sebaceous filaments.

KOJI Angelite U Eyeliner

I always love receiving Japanese makeup in my NoMakeNoLife box, so I was most excited for this! KOJI is a huge cosmetics brand in Japan – they’re the ones that created Japan’s first false lashes as well as releasing the crazy popular Dolly Wink makeup brand! Everything from the box to the design on the liquid liner pen itself is beautiful. I’m not sure if this is a variant item since the picture shows the shade Black, but I received Brown (which I’m perfectly happy with). I don’t usually own any brown liquid liners so it was a nice change and the shade is more of a dark brown. This is a waterproof eyeliner pen with a 0.1mm brush tip that makes it easy to draw thin and precise lines. It’s easy to build up if you prefer a thicker brush stroke!

Puffy Bubble Foam Face Wash

If I’m not mistaken, this Puffy Bubble Foam Facial Cleanser is by the brand Mutenka, but I’m unable to find this exact version anywhere online. This is a thick mochi-type foam cleanser, not really a bubbly type of foam, where a little truly goes a long way. It’s fairly gentle on the skin, leaves my face feeling clean and helps remove most of my makeup off.

Setouchi Lemon Bath Salt

The Setouchi Lemon Bath Salt came with two satchets which is enough for two uses. These are made with real lemon juice from Setouchi, Japan and they smell divine (just like lemons)! Sprinkle a packet into a bath and watch these bath salts instantly up your mood while you soak. As an added bonus, your skin will feel more moisturized, smooth, and calm from use!

Exfoliation Foot Mask

Last, but not least is the Exfoliation Foot Mask, which is essentially a sheet mask for your feet. This foot mask contains a mixture of Argan oil, hyaluronic acid, and 19 other natural botanical ingredients that will help nourish and moisturize your feet while simultaneously ridding them of any dead skin cells. Wear this foot mask for 60-90 minutes and rinse off the excess product once you are finished with the mask. After a week, the dead skin around your feet will start peeling away, revealing silky smooth skin. I used these when my heels were looking cracked and dry, and they came out looking like brand new feet!

NoMakeNoLife Review August 2018 – Final Thoughts

Not my favorite month thus far, but I’m still left impressed with the selection of items this month from NoMakeNoLife. It included a nice range of products from makeup and skincare to body care. I really appreciate the variety of product types as it lets me try new things from different areas, without feeling overwhelmed or burdened by receiving too many skincare items or too many makeup items. My favorite items this month has to be the KOJI Angelite U Eyeliner as well as the Exfoliation Foot Mask! If you’re interested in trying out unique Japanese beauty products, I’d definitely recommend giving this box a try!
