Here’s a closer look at the items I received for the month of January….

Included in every NoMakeNoLife box is a mini pink booklet detailing all of the hand-picked products each month. You’ll get in-depth descriptions, instructions (in English, of course) and upcoming news!

Melliesh Denkyu Lip Tint (Japan)

The lip tint by Melliesh is shaped like a mini lightbulb – how cute! The shade of the tint is in #2 Healthy Red, which is a sheer and glossy coral-red. It’s a very nourishing formula that contains argan oil and castor oil. These ingredients help prevent the tint from drying out the lips. Plus, it smells like yummy apples!

Missha 3D Mascara (Korea)

I’m a huge mascara junkie and I love trying out new formulas. Sadly, the Missha 3D Mascara is one I’ve previously tried before and did not like. It has a good brush that evenly coats the lashes, but the formula does nothing for me. It doesn’t add much length or volume.

Watering Cosmetic Wedges (Japan)

Makeup sponges are an essential part of my daily makeup routine, so I was happy to see the Watering Cosmetic Wedges. There are 3 wedges in a pack and you can use them dry or wet. When wet, these grow to almost twice the size! It absorbed a little too much foundation for my liking, but it did help blend my makeup to a natural looking finish.

Soy Milk Extract Facial Cleansing Foam (Japan)

The Soy Milk Extract Facial Cleansing Foam is a very gentle foam cleanser that helps remove traces of oil, dirt, and makeup. It’s gentle enough for daily use, morning or night, and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling too tight or dry. I like to use this as my second-step cleanser after I oil cleanse. Plus, it’s a big 200g bottle that will be sure to last me a while!

Flower Bouquet Face & Body Soap (Japan)

I was a little disappointed to see another soap included in this month’s box, BUT this one can be used on both the face and body. It has a lovely floral scent that’s not overpowering and it lathers really easily without stripping the skin of it’s natural oils. I’ve been using this as a body soap and it instantly brightens up my shower.

Etude House My Beauty Tool Etti Shower Ball (Korea)

I’ve owned several of these loofahs before and LOVE them! It’s what you’d expect from any kind of loofah, but this one is pink and comes with an adorable kitty attached at the top handle. It’s always the little things that brighten up my day.

Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lovely Lip Patch

The Kiss Kiss Lovely Lip Patch is a hydrogel mask made to help nourish and moisturize your lips. It contains ingredients such as collagen, vitamin C, and many fruit extracts (strawberry, blueberry, and blackberry). I wore it for about 20 minutes and my lips felt more juicy and plump.

Kocostar Fruit Slice Sheet Mask Pack

The Fruit Slice Sheet Mask Pack is unlike most sheet masks… This one comes in little “fruit slice” patches! There are 12 mask slices in each pack. Place the sheet mask slices on any areas of the face or body to really target the troubled areas. The slices are soaked in a hydrating essence that helps nourish and sooth the skin.

NoMakeNoLife Review January 2019 – Final Thoughts

I was so excited to hear the news that NoMakeNoLife was changing their box to include both Korean and Japanese beauty products. Even though there was a slight price increase by a few dollars, the quantity also increased to 8-9 full size items.

I expected their first newly revamped box to start off with a bang, but I felt like the selection was mediocre. A few of the products were a bit redundant, like the two soaps and two types of face masks (though they targeted different areas). I was also hoping for products that were new to me, but several of these items I’ve previously tried before. I’m a major K-beauty lover, so I’ve tried a lot of the “mainstream” items and was disappointed to see them. However, if you’re new to K-beauty or Asian beauty in general, this is a great starter box!

Regardless, NoMakeNoLife included a nice mixture of products ranging from makeup, beauty tools, skincare, and body care. My favorite items this month were the Melliesh Denkyu Lip Tint in Healthy Red, the Etude House Etti Shower Ball, and the Fruit Slice Sheet Mask.

I definitely see major potential with this box and can’t wait to see what they include next month.
