January Box Details (Total Value $71.99)

The January Nourish Beauty Box theme is all about fresh starts and feeling fresh. Very fitting since a new year is now under way.

A new year, a new beginning. Take on the challenges of this year head on but make sure you look after your body and soul. Don’t worry, we got you this January as well, gearing you up with amazing handmade products both skincare and makeup to nourish, clean and accentuate your beautiful features.

January always brings a feeling of renewal and the urge to try new things and set new goals. Why not include freshening up your skincare or makeup routine to that list of things to try? Goals for the new year don’t have to be big or audacious, they can be as simple as try a new eyeshadow if that’s what makes you feel excited, confident and happy. This month’s box has several fun items to try out and get inspired by.

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s Nourish Beauty Box:

Nayelle Cleanse Facial Wash ($27)

A clinically tested daily face wash that gently removes makeup and grime, plus stimulates your skin’s circulation. The result is a beautifully clean and baby soft complexion. Apply it on moist skin.

This is a mild yet effective cleanser that is good for all skin types and helps gently exfoliate restore the skin’s natural oil balance. Marine clay and bamboo extract help to exfoliate and remove dull skin cells leaving skin rejuvenated and refreshed. It’s made without parabens or propylene glycol, it’s not tested on animals and it’s gluten free. The texture is like a creamy gel with a mild grit for exfoliating. It has a very light and pleasant scent too. I’m really looking forward to trying out this product as I’ve been looking for a new face wash and this one checks the boxes for what my skin needs, especially during this dry winter weather.

Seraphine Botanicals Pink Salt + Apricot ($22)

Made with Himalayan pink rock salt, tangerine, beetroot and apricot extracts, this hair mist is able to regulate and texturize untamed tresses. Spritz it on damp or dry hair and style as desired.

Salt spray is about the only product I’ve been using on my hair these days so I was excited to find this product in this month’s box. Salt spray is fantastic for adding texture to your hair and is especially good for enhancing wave or curls. My hair is wavy and salt sprays help give it that beach wave look. This spray in particular is made with pink Himalayan salt for the texture element and apricot oil that will help moisturize. It smells wonderful, like citrus vanilla and is packaged in a pretty glass bottle.

Peony Cosmetics Wonder Bloom in “Blushed Dahlia” ($15)

A pair of enticing colors destined to accentuate your eyes. Apply it with an eyeshadow brush or ring finger. Blend well.

This eyeshadow duo is such a pretty neutral combo with a hint of dramatic flare. The coppery color is a wonderful everyday color and the slate-like color would be great to add a little depth in the eyelid creases for day or if you add more, would be great for a glam nighttime look. These eyeshadows have a really smooth texture and have good coverage when applied.

Elements of Aliel Love Cleanser ($29)

A 100% plant-based all over body cleanser for sensitive skin. Use it in the shower to add moisture and vitamins to the tissue.

This cleanser is said to moisturize, even skin tone and soothe any irritations. It’s made with an African black soap base that is a powerhouse in solving skin issues. It also contains cocoa which is rich in vitamins and minerals and helps heal skin, and hibiscus which is a great antioxidant that helps with rejuvenation. This cleanser has minimal and simple ingredients that are all natural and 100% plant-based. It’s great for those with dry and sensitive skin and would be the perfect cleanser for dull winter skin.

Nourish Beauty Box Review January 2019 – Final Thoughts

It’s another great selection in the January Nourish Beauty Box! A refresh to a skincare routine is a great way to feel renewed in the new year and in the midst of a dreary winter. So it was really great to receive two new cleansers to try out in this month’s box along with the other products. Winter always wrecks my skin – it gets very dry and uneven – so I’m hopeful that one of these cleansers can help my skin feel more moisturized with a more even skintone. I’m guessing since there were two of the same type of product in this month’s box (which I don’t mind since I’d been searching for a facial cleanser anyway) that there won’t be one in next month’s box – but we’ll see!
