May Box Details

Our spring curation will bring you pure joy and happiness but most of all, clear and nourished skin with a touch of color and glam.

This month’s box is and ode to spring with the refreshing pink hues and lightweight skincare. You can wear pinks any time of year but it feels especially festive when flowers are blooming that match those tones.

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s box ($62.49 Total Value):

Nourish Naturals Chakra Blush Duo ($12.50)

A versatile blush duo with micronized shimmer particles designed to create a natural flush of color that suits all skin tones.

This blush duo is so pretty! I initially thought it was an eyeshadow duo and was equally excited about that. I think it could honestly work for either use. The lighter color looks more like a cheek color to me and the darker pink would be perfect for eyes, it’s a bit more shimmery. You could definitely swirl and mix both together for a medium pink shimmery color for cheeks though too. I think pinks bring warmth to the skin and make brown eyes pop especially.

Seraphine Botanicals Papaya + Balsam Lip & Cheek Cream “Spring Sangria” ($18)

A subtle lip & cheek tint that glides on your skin effortlessly. Created with coconut oil and papaya extract.

This is such a pretty color and matches the blush/eyeshadow so well! It’s kind of a medium coral/pink color, so it has warmer undertones. It says it can be used for either the cheek or the lip but I’m thinking lip is what I’d use it for. Especially since that cheek/eye color up there already has me covered in the blush department. It goes on a bit glossy but if you choose to use for your cheeks, after blending the gloss goes away and it turns into more of a stain. It’s made with coconut oil & papaya extract which help keep skin hydrated either way you use it.

LXMI Nilotica Lip Melt ($22)

Swipe this ultra-clean lip treatment over your dry lips. Formulated with nilotica reserve shea butter and peppermint oil.

This lip treatment is made with 100% natural ingredients including ultra-moisturizing shea butter and peppermint oil which boosts circulation to the lips. It smells so good, definitely like peppermint but almost with a hint of vanilla. It’s a lightweight balm that leaves a dewy finish. I’d wear this during the day by itself or over a lip color and at night as more of a treatment while sleeping. The packaging of this product is so pretty too and the balm container looks so chic!

Wyldflower Labs Firming Deep Cleanser ($9.99)

Use this potent, all-in-one facial cleanser and makeup remover to erase liquid and powder based makeup (including water-resistant mascara) without a trace, while helping to keep your complexion flawless.

The consistency of this cleanser definitely reminds me more of a makeup remover, it’s very milky. The instructions say that you just have to pour a small amount on your fingers and massage into wet skin but I’m thinking it would have to be into the palm of your hand or better yet on a cotton round. It’s said to help shrink pores, increase skin elasticity and restore a healthy looking complexion due to the use of ingredients such as organic sea buckthorn extract, comfrey leaf oil, lemon seed oil, aloe vera juice, coenzyme Q10 and Vitamin E. I can’t totally figure out what the scent of this cleanser is, maybe a little bit floral and a little bit fruity? I don’t love it but I don’t hate it either. Regardless, I’m curious how this performs and I’m interested to see how well it removes that waterproof mascara.

Nourish Beauty Box Review May 2019 – Final Thoughts

My favorite product from this month’s Nourish Beauty Box is definitely the lip melt. The beautiful packaging caught my eye first and then when I saw it was a lip balm made with all-natural ingredients I knew it was going to be the favorite. Lip balms are so versatile and useful for every day wear. Even on days I don’t feel like putting on makeup I’ll put on a balm just to make sure my lips don’t dry out. Plus I like that this balm is a brand I’d never heard of before. As always, it’s fun to discover new brands. I do have to add that I really like the colors of the cosmetics included in this month’s box too. Like I mentioned, they are perfect for spring so I’m sure I’ll be able to put these to good use too. With summer just around the corner I’ll be interested to see what next month’s box includes!
