PetPlate Review April 2018
PetPlate makes it easy for pet parents to nourish their pets with love by delivering freshly-cooked meals made from wholesome ingredients that do not contain any by-products, rendered meats or preservatives. The meals are designed by a veterinary clinical nutritionist for nutritional balance and are pre-portioned and ready to serve. The company offers a convenient subscription service that automatically ships the meals directly to the consumer on a regular basis, depending on the size of the pet. Boomer is our 9 month old miniature goldendoodle, who we love more than we can express! Since he is such a special part of our family, we have wanted to try a healthier alternative to his typical dog food to keep him feeling his best.
PetPlate offers two different flavours – Farmhouse Beef & Oven Roasted Turkey. You can choose to receive all turkey, all beef or a mixture of the two. For this month’s review we received both flavours. Here’s a closer look…….
Farmhouse Beef
Ingredients: Beef, sweet potatoes, potatoes, beef liver, green peas, carrots, apples, pumpkin, safflower oil, calcium carbonate, sardine fish oil, dicalcium phosphate, salt, vitamin D3, vitamin E, zinc, manganese, iodine, thiamin, magnesium, selenium
Oven Roasted Turkey

Boomer typically grazes at his food throughout the day and is quite particular about his treat options. Once we set the farmhouse beef flavor in front of him, it was gone in a matter of minutes. He licked his bowl clean and sat there patiently waiting for more. The oven roasted turkey was just as big of a hit! Boomer is in love and we no longer have to coax him to eat his food.
PetPlate Review April 2018 – Final Thoughts
After receiving our first PetPlate box, we are absolutely thrilled with the product. Not only is their packaging so cute and well put together, but PetPlate provides frozen shipping right to our door to keep the food fresh for our sweet pup. There are a variety of meals for Boomer to enjoy, and a card with detailed information that explains how to best transition him to the new meals.
It’s safe to say Boomer won’t be going back to dry and bland kibble any time soon.
