Here’s a closer look at the October Be-Witching PostBox……

October Theme: Be-Witching

Witches have had a long history with Halloween. Superstitions told of witches casting spells on unsuspecting people, transforming themselves into different forms, and causing other magical mischief. Create your own bewitchment this Halloween season by sending witchy wishes to your friends and family.

Oh my goodness! I am so happy right now. I was hoping for a Halloween theme this month and here it is. Postmark’d Studio came through and provided an amazing assortment of Halloween cards. I’ve said this before but Postmark’d Studio has the best themes and I really, really wish more subscription boxes would take notice and do something similar.

Pumpkin Witch

It will be hard to choose which friend to send this card, including of course, your most spell-binding hand-written note! E. Frances Paper, located in Newport, RI, is created by 3 sisters (actually 2 sisters and a cousin, but they are a sisterhood) named after their 2 grandmothers. Even better, their shop is located in an old bubble gum factory (talk about being on the bubble). They are on a mission to help others be kind and spread positivity with letter writing.

Witches’ Legs

Send your favorite fashion maven wishes for a stylish and ghoulish Halloween. Kristen Walker presses to keep it simple at Twin Ravens Press, located in Eugene OR. She believes that good things come from what you love, and we love what she is doing.

Witches’ Brew

Share your favorite recipes for your favorite “double, double, toil and trouble” brew with someones who will enjoy it as much as you do. KB Paperie, located in Wichita Falls, TX, is the work of husband and wife team Kelly and Holden. Kelly is the illustrator, designer, letterpress printer and packager. Her husband Holden is assistant packager, moral supporter and cheerleader, very important roles.

Cackle Grackle

This wicked grackle will be sure to make the recipient cackle! Burdock & Bramble, located in Boiling Springs, PA is the creative work of printmaker and book binder Heather O’Hara. She hatched the idea for Burdock & Bramble upon meeting mischievous gackles in her art studio when she was a student and then again, many years later in her Baltimore, MD backyard.

Witch of the West

Send your best goulfriend wicked wishes for a Halloween filled with tricks and treats! Rifle Paper Company. located in Winter Park, FL, was founded by husband and wife team, Rick and Anna Bond. What grew out of their garage apartment is now an international brand of goods that they are not only proud to use themselves, but also to share with you!

Sealing Wax Kit

Brass witch on a broom stamp, wood handle, black wax and black baker’s twine.

This is the cutest way to seal an envelope! Such a cute idea, but I’ve come to expect nothing less.

Magic Forever stamps and Dragon Fever stamps, both issued in August of 2018.

Postmark’d Studio Review October 2018 – Final Thoughts

Postmark’d Studio continues to impress me. I have loved this box since I first laid eyes on it and my love hasn’t wavered…….not even for a moment. They put together the best little Halloween box; I wouldn’t change a thing. From the black ribbon and the plastic spider, to the gorgeous Halloween cards and the wax kit. Oh, and we can’t forget about the Halloween chocolates……they get bonus points for those. It’s the little details I appreciate most and Postmark’d Studio is full of them!
