Saltwater & Sand Review Summer 2019

Saltwater & Sand is a coastal subscription box that delivers a high-end beach boutique to your door. Beautifully selected, luxury beach boutique items arrive in signature gift wrap and include 5 or more full size selections that are shipped to you four times a year. They kindly sent us this box for review.

Saltwater & Sand is a brand new subscription box. They recently won the award for Best New Box in our 1st Annual US Subscription Box Awards. I believe this is their very first box and I am SUPER excited to be reviewing it.

Subscription Details

Saltwater & Sand collections are available as a quarterly subscription or as a one time box/gift.

Each one arrives in a beautiful basket with custom gift wrapping that make the perfect gift for your mother, client, wife, sister, boss or best friend on their birthday, Mother’s Day, anniversary, wedding and housewarming.

Here’s a closer look at the Summer 2019 Saltwater & Sand box….

Aloe and Seagrass Artisan Candle ($35)

Northern Lights Windward Collection features a unique hand-blown vessel with an artisan-rolled rim. Made of recycled glass, no two vessels are alike and are reusable. It burns for 45 hours and the aroma evokes wild aloe and ocean fern with aquatic flowers and driftwood.

This candle is absolutely gorgeous! It’s one of the prettiest candles I have received in a subscription box. I am currently redecorating our home and this is the perfect decor piece for the living room. Or I might use it for one of the shelves in my home office. Either way, it is stunning and I LOVE that it is made of recycled glass.

Exfoliating Sugar Cubes ($12)

Warning – these smell good enough to eat (but please don’t). Harper Ari Exfoliating SugarCubes are sized perfectly for individual use. One cube will exfoliate and nourish the entire body. To use take a single cube with you in the shower or bath and gently massage over wet skin. Concentrate on any rough patches. Recommended use is twice a week, or whenever you need a little extra pampering.

This is a genius little idea for a bath product. I love a good body scrub and these are little single-use scrub cubes. They will be the perfect addition to my bath box. I’m contemplating making one for our guest bath as well and these would be perfect for that.

Crabtown Cocktail Salt ($6.95)

Dell Cove Spices and More Crabtown Cocktail Salt is a flavoured drink salt that tastes of New England. It has the perfect balance of savory, spicy and saltiness just like a good crab boil. Perfect to garnish the rims of our margaritas and Bloody Marys. Gluten free, organic and vegetarian. Using this spiced salt is easy. Just spread some salt on a plate, run a lime or lemon wedge over the top of your glass and then twist the rim in the salt.

I’m not really one for cocktail salt but…..with that being said. I have always wanted to create a bar cart for our living room and this would be the perfect addition.

Coin Pearl Earrings ($48)

These dainty 14k gold-filled earrings are handmade in Alabama by Emma Jane Designs and feature an authentic coin pearl aventurine hanging from a 0.5 inch gold ring.

These earrings are gorgeous and they fit the luxury coastal theme perfectly. You could easily dress them up or dress them down. They would be very pretty with your favorite pair of jeans, a simple tank and a pair of cognac sandals.

Modern Apothecary Matches ($26.50)

Why not decorate your home with functionality AND style? Enjoy adding a pop of color with these matches from Made Market Co. that feature a glass bottle and ball top that may be refilled, a striker on the pretty label and is designed and made in the US.

Love, love, love these matches! I received a similar bottle of matches quite some time ago in another subscription box but the bottle itself was half the size. These will look lovely displayed with my new candle.

Seagrass Belly Basket ($40?)

Classic belly baskets are more than a fresh decorative accent. They’re also one of the most practical shapes for all-purpose clutter control. These baskets are handwoven from natural seagrass and work in nearly any room or setting. Use them for trips to the beach or market and to store towels, throw pillows, toys, media and as a modern plant container. The handled design makes each basket easy to move and they fold down for use as an open bin.

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE belly baskets. I purchased one about a month ago and was wanting to pick up a couple more. I love the teal color on the bottom of this one….very beachy. They are a great decor piece. Use them to store items, display a blanket or you can even use them as a plant pot. Either way I will get a lot of use out of this last item.

Saltwater & Sand Review Summer 2019 – Final Thoughts

The Summer 2019 Saltwater & Sand box is absolutely beautiful. Seeing as this is their very first box, I am quite impressed. The subscription itself is a little more expensive than most subscriptions, but if you love luxury decor pieces then this is the box for you. I am curious to see the Fall and Winter boxes but so far my first impression is a good one.
