Scent Trunk Review April 2016
Scent Trunk is a Fragrance Subscription Box that I want to love, but am having trouble with as of late. My last few boxes haven’t been the best, but I am determined to make this discovery service work in my favour. The idea with Scent Trunk is that they do the fragrance shopping for you, with the hopes of helping you discover new scents.

So here’s the deal…..I loved my December Scent Trunk, but wasn’t too excited about my February & March boxes. I decided to do a little research last month and found out that I can update my profile on a monthly basis in order to indicate which fragrances I liked and disliked. Since I really didn’t like the last few fragrances I received I gave them a poor rating on my Scent Trunk profile, with the hopes that I wouldn’t receive similar fragrances again this month……I had high hopes…..but things didn’t really work out in my favour.
Etoile d’Or – This one has notes of bergamot, lavender, jasmine and rose. I really dislike any sort of floral scent when it comes to my fragrances so this one isn’t for me.
Sogno Reale – This one has notes of amber, sandalwood, and hyrax. Amber and sandalwood are a little too earthy for me, so sadly I won’t be wearing this one either.
Pour Elle – This one has notes of cherry, bergamot, freesia and jasmine. I had high hopes for this one since it has notes of cherry, but the freesia and jasmine definitely take over, and all I can smell is flowers.
Thoughts: I’m a little disappointed that I received fragrances with floral tones yet again. I feel like I have received a lot of jasmine and freesia scents over the last few months when all I really want is fruity scents. I went back to my Scent Trunk profile and double checked that I had indicated the notes I like, and I definitely have. My profile indicates that I like fruity notes, vanilla, and brown sugar, but I didn’t receive any of those this month. I kind of wish they had a comment section on our profiles so I could leave them notes. Here’s hoping that next month will be a little better.
