Always a variety of teas you will never be bored with Sips By and your tea stash will always be plentiful!
Iron Goddess (Tie Guan Yin) by Teabook
Tie Guan Yin Oolong from Taipei, Taiwan.
Medium Caffeine: The most popular oolong style in the world! This dark-roasted version has deep toasty aromas. Steep multiple times and notice the change as the leaf unfurls!
Oolong has always been a mystery to me, but I am learning to love it. I really like the recommendation to steep it a couple times. I can be known to continually refill my tea cup with the same bag of tea until the water runs almost completely clear. The flavour doesn’t usually change too much, other than dilution, but now I’m super curious to try it with Iron Goddess and see how it changes!
Lavender Mint Dream by Leaf and Twig
Lavender, peppermint, honeyroo, chamomile.
Caffeine-free: Soothing lavender and chamomile, crisp peppermint, and honeyroo – a mix of rooibos and honeybush. This calming herbal blend is a relaxing way to end the day!
Wow! I can’t believe this. Lavender tea and peppermint tea happen to be my all time favourite and now here they are, best buddies in this beautiful little tin. I don’t think I can wait until the end of this review to give this a sip. I just know I will want a tin ten times this size after I’m done this little sample.
CogniTea by CogniTea
Peppermint, guayusa, yerba mate, black tea, ginkjo biloba, l-theanine, guarana, tea extract, goji berries, stevia, ginseng.
Coffee-level Caffeine: Designed to provide a cognitive boost! All-natural ingredients, L-Theanine and caffeine promote focus, concentration, and alertness without any jitters, headache or crash.
I was drinking a coffee-tea blend the other night and offered some to my husband. His exact reaction was, ‘Why am I just hearing about this?!” Needless to say, he instantly approved off coffee-tea. I think this one will go over really well in our house.
Cacao Tea by Micacao
Organic cacao shells, organic cacao nibs.
Caffeine-free: Natives of tropical regions in Central and South America have been drinking cacao tea for centuries. Light with a hint of chocolate; packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.
Sounds just delightful! A real cozy cup for the remaining winter months here. I do feel like cacao tea has sprung up recently and it seems very new to me, but clearly, like most teas, it’s been around for a mighty long time!
When I first started receiving tea boxes I found the tea bags a little bit of a nuisance, as I typically use a tea ball at home with no need for a bag; however, since brining my tea stash to work I find I am in need of a tea bag every day! Thankfully, these little guys make sure my tea needs at work are always filled!
Sips By January 2018 – Final Thoughts
Just love this little box of joy! I am a creature of habit and thus will often drink the same tea until the cows come home. I really need a kick in the butt sometimes to try something new and that’s exactly why I love tea subscriptions! Sips By does such an adorable job of it’s curation. There isn’t much more that could be added to send this box over the top. Thankfully, they provide information on where you can purchase full sized versions of all the samples inside, in case your cravings extend beyond what is provided in the box.
