Try delicious new flavours at affordable prices.  Currently you can get boxes from Korea, Japan or China.  Each box is bursting with a bundle of candies and treats that you may never have a chance to try otherwise! They kindly sent us this box for review.

This is our second review for Taste and Curiosity.  You can see the review for the Japan box here.  This is the box from China “The Imperial Set”.  Let’s see what we received!

Cha Cha Potato Cracker

Square shaped crackers that pack a punch.  We packed wasabi and spicy flavoured for you.

I love stuff like this!  It’s a great take on something you’d probably have in the house anyway, but with a cultural twist and something that may be a little out of your comfort zone.  I feel like these would be super tasty with brie cheese.

Crispy Peanut Candy

These peanut snacks are a Chinese New Year favourite.  It is sweet and super crunchy.

Chinese New Year is really fun to celebrate!  There are so many great decorations and treats for it!  If you haven’t been to a Chinese New Year party, I highly recommend it.  Thanks for including these special New Years treats!

Bin Bin Rice Cracker

Classic Chinese snacks that have a subtle savoury flavouring.  The perfect light snack.

I’m tempted to partner this with the tea that was provided in the box.  Am I way off here?  I’m not sure the cultural practices on the enjoyment of these snacks, but I think I’m on to something

Matcha Choco Roll

Waster roll with a cream coating and matcha green tea core.  Layers upon layers of joy!

This sounds pretty delightful!  I love the matcha.  Seems light and crunchy.

Chrysanthemum Tea

Tea made from rare chrysanthemum flowers.  Each pack makes 2-3 cups of soothing tea.

I’m a huge tea fan!  Love this.  I don’t think I can say I’ve had Chrysanthemum tea before, but I’m really looking forward to trying it.

Crunchchoco

Chocolate cookies infused with milk chocolate and almonds.  You can’t go wrong with this.

Umm. No, no you can’t.  This is pretty much all my favourite things wrapped up in one!  Why don’t we have this in Canada?  Well, I guess we do if you subscribe to this box!

Pineapple Cake

These cakes have a buttermilk crust with a sweet pineapple jam filling.  Famous Taiwanese pastry.

Sounds pretty delightful with a hint of summer!

White Rabbit Candy

These milky candies have been around for over a century.  The inner rice wrapper is edible!

So cool!  I love the stye of the wrappers and I like how they are nicely tied up in their own bag.  I also really appreciated the addition of a non-edible item.  Sometimes with snack boxes it’s nice to say you didn’t eat the entire contents of your subscription box!

Taste and Curiosity March 2017 – Final Thoughts

I really like food and snack boxes!  Its so fun to receive odd and unusual items you may never try otherwise.  I liked the variety of these items and the mix between sweet and savoury was good.  I have to say I’m not a huge fan of the Asian snacks and would love to see Taste and Curiosity add a few more countries to their line up.

PS – You might see a few cookies in the photo that were also included in last month’s box. They knew how much I enjoyed these ones so they sent me a few more. So unbelievably nice of them!
