Uptown Girls Review August 2017
Uptown Girls is an Australian Time of the Month subscription box. Or in other words, your monthly organic period care subscription box. Every month they will send you what you need, when you need it. They kindly sent us this box for review.
I got to review Uptown Girls for the very first time last month, and let me tell you, this Australian Time of the Month box really left an impression on me. I absolutely loved my first box!! It was cute and classy and simple and fun to unbox. I loved every single item they included in the July box…….all of them have been put to use. Oh, and the chocolate bar they included last month is now my all-time favourite chocolate bar in the world…..I need more of those bars in my life ASAP.
Subscription Details
As I mentioned above, Uptown Girls is an Australian subscription box so this one is for all my Australian ladies. Fingers crossed they start shipping Worldwide very soon.
Right now Uptown Girls has one subscription option – The Essentials Box. You can choose your preference of regular tampons, super tampons or pads, all of which are chemical-free and organic. You will also receive 5 organic night pads, organic tea and treats.
Here’s a closer look at the items we received in the August Essentials Box…..
Tampons and Pads
First up we have the necessities. You can choose to receive Chemical-Free, Organic Cotton Tampons in regular or super (16) or Pads (10). You will also receive Organic Cotton Night Pads (5).
Bakedown Cakery Toasty Chocolate
Funky shaped artisan chocolate blocks (approximately 110-120g) dusted with edible neon or metallic colour! Makes the perfect gift pre-wrapped in bright wrapping paper. Available in 9 different types including white, milk, dark (54%), darker (70%), white matcha, milk matcha, dark matcha, toasty (caramelised white chocolate) and cookies and cream .
Oh my goodness. I think I love Uptown Girls simply for the chocolate. They manage to find some of the best chocolate bars I have ever laid my eyes on. I wish I would have taken a photo of this bar. It is a caramel coloured white chocoalte splattered with neon pink and purple. It is GORGEOUS, and it smells amazing!!!

Pauly & Co Hormone Health Tea
A beautiful blend used for that time of the month, hormonal teenagers or menopausal women. As women we certainly get a rough deal when it comes to our reproductive organs, but we are very lucky to have products like our ‘Hormone Health’ to help make the journey a little kinder.
Ingredients: Organic chamomile, organic ginger, organic peppermint, organic fennel, organic raspberry lead, organic lemon balm, organic pink rose petals, organic red clover, organic nettle.
Check out that ingredient list! It’s absolutely perfect. It includes all my favourites and sounds like the perfect PMS tea.
Fab Little Bag
At last, a fab way to dispose of tampons and pads. Wherever you are, these opaque, sealable, BIODEGRADABLE bags are a girl’s best friend. You can even open FabLittleBag with one hand. Never be caught out again with a blocked toilet or no bathroom bin. It’s the best disposal method, period.
I have received these before and I love them. What a great idea. You can open and close them with one hand, which is genius. I like to keep a couple of these in my purse.
Uptown Girls Review August 2017 – Final Thoughts
I have so much love and appreciation for this cute little box. Uptown Girls is one of my favourite Time of the Month boxes. I love the simplicity – tampons, tea and chocolate. And I love how pretty it is. You can tell that a lot of thought and care goes into these boxes. The curation is absolutely wonderful. They source the best chocolate ever, and they included a fun little bonus item this month. I honestly can’t say enough about this subscription. The word refreshing comes to mind……
