Vegan Cuts Snack Box Review February 2017

Vegan Cuts Snack Box is the easiest way to discover healthy vegan snacks without breaking your budget. From chips to cookies and sodas to teas, each month they will send 10 or more vegan goodies straight to your door. They kindly sent us this box for review.

I recently reviewed the February Vegan Cuts Beauty Box and now I’m back with the February Vegan Cuts Snack Box. I was very impressed with the beauty box and as a result had a good feeling about the snack box. It has been at least 3 years, if not more, since I reviewed this box so I’m very excited to see if/how things have changed.

I have been vegan for 7 or 8 years now. I actually can’t remember the exact date I took the vegan plunge, it might even be longer than 8 years. Any who, I absolutely LOVE being vegan and can’t see myself ever going back to a regular diet. With that being said, I should also mention that I’m not a super strict vegan. If I desperately need a piece of milk chocolate I am going to have one, and if I feel like my body is lacking omegas, I’ll have a piece of salmon. I guess you could say I am 90% vegan. Regardless, I get SUPER excited about vegan snacks because until a couple years ago they were very hard to find.

Here’s a look at the wonderful goodies I received in my February Vegan Cuts Snack Box:

Soylent Nutritional Drink

Everything you need for a nutritious meal bottles up into one tasty drink. Soylent Drink is a ready-to-drink meal in a bottle that provides 20% of your daily nutritional requirements at the twist of a cap. With Soylent Drink, you can get a balanced meal in less time than it takes to boil water or microwave a burrito.

I’m not really a nutritional drink kind of girl, but at the same time I love it when snack boxes include some sort of beverage. It rounds the box out nicely.

Neat Foods Meat Replacement

Cruelty-free ground beef replacement using a unique mixture of nuts and other natural ingredients.

This is such a cool mixture! It contains ingredients such as pecans, garbanzo beans, oats, cornmeal and spices. You simply mix it with water and chia eggs, then brown in a frying pan or form into patties. I am super excited about this one. I am always looking for meat alternatives, anything other than tofu, and this sounds really good. I love that I can read all the ingredients and that it doesn’t contain soy.

Spiced & Infused Chipotle Taco Popcorn

Chipotle Taco flavoured popcorn seasoned with jalapeño pepper, tomato and spices.

Popcorn is my weakness. I could eat it all day, every day. And that’s no exaggeration. I also happen to love chipotle. I feel like this will be a new favourite snack. AND…..it doesn’t contain sugar. Did you know that a majority of salty snacks, whether it be popcorn, chips or crackers, contain some form of sugar?

PopCorners Carnival Kettle Chips

I’ve had these many times, and let me tell you, they are the perfect little snack when you need something slightly sweet, and very light.

No Whey Chocoalte Pretzel Candies

Salty gluten-free pretzel & sweet chocolate flavours combine to deliver a mouthwatering experience.

Oh my goodness! These kind of look like M&M’s and I miss those little candies like crazy! These ones have a pretzel center, then a chocolate coating and then a naturally coloured shell. I want to emphasize the “naturally coloured shell” part as I just found out how bad the coating on M&M’s is for you. These are also free of the big 8 allergens. Can they sound any better!!

Emmy’s Organics Coconut Cookie

Melt-in-your-mouth dark cacao almond and coconut cookie.

I’ve had these before and they are amazing! I like to enjoy them with my coffee, but then again, I enjoy pretty much everything with my coffee.

Unreal Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Cup

Creamy and decadent dark chocolate almond butter cup. We love peanut butter, but there’s something to be said about the all-powerful
almond. A tasty twist that will have your taste buds soaring with happiness. Dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan. Same fair trade ingredients, same conscientious sourcing… same creamy, oozing texture as with our peanut butter cup varieties. But with a light Unreal almond butter taste!

Seriously! I am so darn excited right now. I love my M&M’s but I love peanut butter cups even more. Now I have the vegan version of both! I already love this box and we still have a few more items to go!

Ultima Electrolyte Powder

Electrolyte-loaded lemonade powder pack to bring you an equally hydrating and delicious drink.

I am always on the hunt for electrolyte powder. Preferably one that doesn’t contain artificial sweeteners. Luckily this one is free of calories, carbs, sugar, GMOs, gluten, caffeine, artificial flavours and sweeteners. I’m sold!

Gorilly Goods Fruit & Nut Mix

Organic, raw and gluten-free fruit and nut “jungle” trail mix.

This kind of looks like a trail mix and nut brittle rolled into one little healthy snack. It sounds like heaven if you ask me.

Vegan Robs Tumeric Chips

Experience unique snacking with unconventional ingredient chips.

How have I never heard of these? They are right up my alley. I try to have healthy chips on hand at all times as I love crunchy snacks and hummus. These ones are made with crispy pumpkin and algae protein. They contain cane juice and brown sugar, which I don’t love, but I’m still going to eat them, and I’m probably going to love them.

Keep Healthy Chocolate Covered Cherries

All natural and gluten-free chocolate covered cherries snack bar.

This sounds like the perfect “I need a treat” bar. I will keep this in the fridge and save it for one of “those” days.

Vegan Cuts Snack Box Review February 2017

I couldn’t be happier with my February Vegan Cuts Snack Box. I think they did a wonderful job. I received a bit of everything – sweet, salty, beverage, nutritional supplement, etc. I discovered brands I haven’t heard of before, and received vegan friendly versions of some of my favourites. This is exactly what I would expect of a good vegan snack box. I totally understand why this is one of the more popular vegan subscription boxes on the market, they’ve definitely earned that title. I also find the price to be very reasonable for what you get. Vegan snacks are darn expensive. I’m sold!

XOXO
