Here’s a closer look at August’s box theme and the items I received this month….
August’s Theme – Dream Land
August’s box was curated with items that will help you relax and unwind after a long day. This box is packed with kawaii stuff that’ll make sure you end your day on a great note and help you easily drift off to dream land. Included in every box is a mini magazine that gives you in-depth details of each item in the box, descriptions, upcoming news, and mini activities!
Sleepy Pokemon Cable Protector
If you’re tired of fraying cables and having to constantly repurchase replacements, the Sleepy Pokemon Cable Protector will be you new can’t-live-without item! These kawaii cable protectors have little indents along the bottom of their legs which can attach on to almost any cord and prevent them from bending or fraying. These come in a variety of 6 different characters with their peaceful and happy sleepy faces.
Mini Cooling Pillow Cover
How cool is this item! (Pun intended). This is a flat pillow cover that you can attach to virtually any pillow thanks to the two stretchy straps on the back. It’s made of a smooth fabric that always feels cool to the touch. I think this is especially perfect for summer and it’s a great way to relax and drift off to sleep. Even though it’s called a “mini” cover, it’s actually pretty big and can completely cover a standard sized pillow.
Relaxing Puffy Plushie
These kawaii plushies are a super cute nap time companion, but sadly I was a little disappointed with this item. They’re made of an incredibly soft plush, but are just a tad too small to comfortably hug. Hidden inside the stuffing is a small squeezy ball that makes squeaky noises when pressed. I would have preferred if these didn’t include the noise maker, because it kind of contradicts the whole sleepy theme. It also makes me think of it as a squeaky dog toy!
Sumikko Gurashi Wash Towel
A wash cloth is my everyday essential, so I’m happy to receive a cute one with Sumikko Gurashi characters. Sumikko Gurashi translates into “Adventures in Cuddly Corners”, which is very fitting for this Dream Land theme. These measure 34cm x 36 cm and come in two possible designs. The fabric is soft and gentle on the skin and makes washing my face at the end of the day a much more enjoyable experience.
Kawaii Sanrio Notebook
You can never have too many notebooks! This one comes in two possible designs and I received the Marumofubiyori variety! It comes with an attached elastic strap to book mark your page or to keep the notebook shut. Use this handy item to jot down your dreams and memories or to write down any notes!
Kawaii Animal Bookmark
If you’re like me and like to end the day with a book, then the Kawaii Animal Bookmark is for you! These come in 5 cute animal designs and I received the black kitty version. Attached on the bookmark is 4 mini pads of sticky notes that you can use to save pages or write down your thoughts as you read!
YumeTwins August Review – Final Thoughts
The YumeTwins box and theme was mostly a hit this month! First of all, I loved that there was great variety between product types including a plushie, cute stationary supplies, a beauty item, a handy technology accessory and even a home goods item.
I love how this month’s box was filled with products that weren’t just cute, but they’re also all super functional (except maybe the Puffy Plushie). My favorite items this month has got to be the Mini Pillow Cover and the Sleepy Pokemon Cable Protector since they’re both practical and cute, and I don’t think I could ever part with these!
