Here’s a look at November’s theme and the items I received this month….

November’s Theme – Winter Magic Pack

The theme this month is Winter Magic! In this pack, you’ll find many winter and snow inspired items. As 2018, the year of the dog, is coming to a close, you’ll also find a few dog-themed stationery goodies included as well! The flyer included each month gives you in-depth details of each featured item and how to use them.

2019 Desk Calendar

This nifty 2019 desk calendar is sure to help you bring in the new year, the year of the pig! You can fold the bottom so that it props up on its own, or you can leave the back flat to hang it up on the wall. Each sheet has the days of the month numbered out, as well as the previous and next month printed on the top corners.

Otoshidama Pochi-bukuro

Otoshidama is a special custom done on New Year’s where parents and relatives will gift money to children. Many other Asian cultures also follow this tradition, but sadly, I’ve reached an age where my parents and relatives no longer give me money. :'( The gifts are usually placed in bright red envelopes, or envelopes with pretty designs like this one. There are 5 different designs you could receive, and I got the pretty pink one with cute pigs and flowers. Each pack of envelopes comes with a set of 3!

Doggy One Point Markers

To help say goodbye to 2018, the year of the dog, ZenPop included these adorable point markers! There are 10 different puppy designs with each containing 15 sheets (a total of 150 sheets). These are too small to write a lot of notes on, but they’re great as page or paragraph markers.

Winter Letter Set

For this month, there are 5 different letter sets you could possibly receive and each is designed after one of the micro seasons of Winter (there are 6 micro seasons of Winter in East Asia). The set comes with 3 envelopes, 3 stickers to seal the letters, and 9 sheets of paper. My letter set contained beautiful drawings of animals like deer and roosters, as well as plants and flowers. I’m assuming my micro season is the one towards the end of Winter, with Spring soon approaching.

Shibanban Flake Stickers

The Shibanban stickers are too cute! There are 10 different sticker designs of dogs with 4 of each design, so a total of 40 stickers in the pack. Each sticker design is modeled after something that brings you luck, but really all of the stickers are adorable. These are made with a textured paper material and accented with gold foil.

Winter Washi Tape

This month’s washi tape is another variant item with 8 possible winter designs. I received a dark starry night design decked out in stars, trees, and a lone soaring bird.

Winter Ippitsusen

Ippitsusen, or “one stroke paper,” is meant to be used to write down quick notes, but this notepad can really be used any which way. The lines run horizontally and the pages alternate between two winter themed designs featuring holly, snowmen, and snow. What I like about this pad of paper is that the pad of paper isn’t attached to the cover by the spine. This makes the sheets really easy and quick to tear!

Sakura Knock Ball Pen – Lamé

To the eye, I thought this was a very basic pen, but it’s actually really cool! The pen has a unique shape thats slender along the body, but gets thicker and fatter around the end where the pen is gripped or held. The ink is a sparkly blue hue with silver microglitter specks all throughout. It glides effortlessly on paper and looks so pretty!

Kokuyo Beetle Tip Highlighter

The Kokuyo Beetle Tip Highlighter is named after its highlighter tip which looks like a beetle’s horn. Unlike most highlighters, it can be used 3 different ways – you can create thin lines, double lines, or use the thicker edge as a normal highlight. I’m not sure what I would use the double lines for, but I love how it’s so versatile!

Kokuyo Harinacs No Staple Stapler

I’ve ALWAYS wanted a stapleless stapler, so I’m so happy this was in the box! This handy little device allows you to staple pieces of paper together by puncturing a hole through all of the sheets and folding in on itself. It’s recommended to only be used with 5 sheets of paper max. Imagine all of the money you’d save from not having to purchase staple refills! The only downside for me is that it does leave quite a sizable hole through all of the sheets.

Bonus Item (Subscription Packs Only) – KIGURU-ME Eraser

The bonus item this month is a scented eraser from KIGURU-ME that smells like fruity bubblegum! This is the last bonus item to be feature in ZenPop Stationary Packs since they will be switching to a subscription only model starting January 2019.

Zenpop Stationery Pack November Review – Final Thoughts

ZenPop always hits it out of the ballpark every month, leaving me very impressed with their selection! This month I found a ton of new favorites and a few very nifty and handy stationary items. I especially loved the Doggy One Point Markers and the Shibanban Flake Stickers because of their kawaii dog designs. I’m also so excited to use my Kokuyo Harinacs No Staple Stapler – it’s so fascinating seeing how it keeps pages together without the use of any staples!

As always, I appreciate the variety of product types ranging this month from a desk calendar, letter sets, stickers and washi tape, notepads, writing utensils, and nifty stationary gadgets. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for next month!
