Here’s a look at September’s box theme and the items I received this month….

September’s Theme – Back To School Pack

September’s box theme is Back To School! Though the Japanese school year actually begins in April, September is when students return from their Summer break. Included in this box are items to help you stay organized and to study better. If you’re not a student, don’t fret, all of the items can still be used in your daily lives!

Included in every box is a flyer that gives you in-depth details of each featured item and how to use them.

Hako Fusen

This set of colorful mini sticky tabs come housed in a sturdy box with adorable tiny hedgehogs! The box comes with 4 different design, each featuring a different hedgehog print, and a total of 80 sheets. These can be use to jot down your thoughts, or used to bookmark important pages and papers. The handy box keeps them protected in your purse, bookbag, or pencil case. They’re almost too cute for me to use!

Shitajiki

A shitajiki is a useful plastic board that can be placed underneath your paper to provide you with a flat and smooth surface for writing. The one included in this box has a colorful and whimsical print that’s sure to lighten up your studies. The shitajiki is also a great tool to prevent pesky pen ink or highlighter ink from bleeding onto the sheet below.

Science Boys Stickers

I’m a huge fan of stickers and this sticker sheet is filled with Rikei boys, or science/tech boys! No sticker repeats itself, so there are tons of science boys to choose from. These stickers have a clear, transparent background, so they can blend in seamlessly anywhere, whether you’re decorating your notebook or agenda.

ZEBRA Mildliners 5 Pack

These highlighters are appropriately named Mildliners because of their mild color, which is easy on the eyes compared to the traditional fluorescent colors. The 5 pack comes in 3 different variations: Mild Fluorescent, Cool Subtle Color, and Warm Calm Color. I received Warm Calm Color which comes with a sky blue, a lavender, a golden yellow, an orange, and a brown. I can’t imagine having much use of the brown highlighter since it’s a little too dark and too similar to the black pens I prefer to use, but I do love the rest of the shades!

Pentel Energize Pencil (0.5mm)

Finding a good pencil can be a tough task, but the Pentel Energize Pencil is perfect. It’s a sleek mechanical pencil with a light and comfortable rubber grip. It also has a “slide & sleep” style tip that can easily slide back into the pencil opening for easy storing. I love this pencil and it’s been the only one I use at work!

& STUDIUM Word Cards

Word Cards are an essential studying tool if you’re a student and need to create flash cards for memorization. This handy stack of cards come attached with a key ring, so that you can keep all of your flash cards organized too.

Big Mouth Sticky Notes

This set of two sticky note pads can come in 4 different designs: Panda, Pig, Frog, or Cat. I received the adorable frog design, with one having a huge mouth! The note pads are super cute and there is plenty of room on both to jot down notes.

Animal Memo Pad

This memo pad features a cute animal design in either a Polar Bear, Giraffe, Fox, or Cat print. I received the giraffe variation that has presents on his back and a golden crown on his head. The memo pad can be used as a regular notepad, or it can be torn along the perforated lines in the middle to create two separate square notes!

Smart Scissors

These “smart” scissors are small, compact, and perfect for carrying around with you in your bag or purse for emergencies. It comes with a protective blade cover to prevent accidents. What I love about these is that there’s no holes in the handle for your fingers, and yet it works so easily and so well. Definitely one of the most exciting items I received in this month!

Video Game Washi Tape

As always, a stationery subscription box wouldn’t be complete without some washi tape! This is by far the best washi tape I’ve ever received. The tape’s design is of the famous Super Mario landscape that everyone knows and loves. It brings back so many childhood memories for me!

ZenPop Stationery Pack September Review – Final Thoughts

ZenPop continues to leave me impressed with their vast selection of items! There are 10 items in each box and this month I received every studying tool I could possibly need and in super cute designs too. I’ve already transitioned these items into my office and have found many new favorites I can’t live without, like the Smart Scissors, ZEBRA Mildliners, and the Pentel Energize Pencil. If you’re a big fan of stationery items, then this box is definitely worth checking out.
