MissionCute Review August 2017

MissionCute was started up out of a passion to give excellent gifts while at the same time supporting not-for-profit organizations. Each month, MissionCute works with a very special nonprofit to help promote their mission, raise awareness, and donate a portion of their monthly net proceeds from the MissionCute boxes and shop to their organization. They kindly sent us this box for review.

August Partner – LAB 29

Thank you to everyone who nominated and voted on this amazing organization!  Lab 29 is a nonprofit corporation founded on the idea that education is a key factor in improving social injustice and class divides.  Lab 29 believes that through the use of technology and with community participation, every student should have equal educational opportunities.  The goal of the program is to enrich and empower Native American students through STEM-focused  educational courses that develop their academic awareness and ability while strengthening their cultural roots.

I really love this box!  It’s been such a treat to receive the past few months and I look forward to unboxing it each time I receive it.  Let’s take a look at what the August box has for us.

WB: Shades of Red Infinity Scarf

I do love a good scarf!  This pattern is a little bold for me, but I do love that it’s an infinity scarf.  Some scarves can be really tricky to tie up.

Sailor Paper Co.: Be Merry Paper Coaster Set

So cute!  I love the patterns of all of these.  They are also super thin, so they won’t take up too much room or height on a coffee table.

Luna Bazaar: Mint Julep Bud Vase

Adorable!  This is a perfect tea light size.

MissionCute: Human Kindess 5×7 Graphic Print

I have loved every single graphic print MissionCute has provided!  The quote for this one also feels really timely.

NW Beauty Works: Moisturizer Lotion 2oz

This lotion smells so fresh and light!  Perfect for these last remaining days of summer.

Gurus: Wish Bracelet

Super cute!  I’m continually leaning towards simpler jewellery items these days.

MissionCute August 2017 – Final Thoughts

I really love MissionCute’s boxes and have been hard pressed to find one that I wasn’t impressed with.  I won’t say that I wasn’t impressed with this, but it did have a very strong Christmas vibe to me.  I think the red and white scarf, Christmas tree shaped bracelet and the coasters all felt very Holiday festive to me.  I loved every item, but over all the box felt a little out of place as I unboxed it in shorts, a tank top, and wishing my AC would work a little harder to reach my office.  The philosophy behind MissionCute is amazing.  I love that every box supports a nonprofit and that the audience gets to vote on who that gets to be.  Such a great idea and I will continue to look forward to receiving this box.
