Mommy Mailbox Review May 2017
Mommy Mailbox is a monthly gift that uplifts and rewards motherhood. Each box is curated by a different guest blogger, who shares a piece of her style with you by including her favorite goodies. Items are a mix of fashion, gourmet food, fitness, art, home décor and beauty. They kindly sent us this box for review.
Mommy Mailbox is one of those boxes that snuck up on me. I didn’t really know if I was going to like it, I thought maybe it wouldn’t apply to me seeing as I’m not a mom yet, but let me tell you…..I was wrong. I have really been enjoying this box, so I can only imagine how much better it would be if I was a Mom. Don’t let this one fool you…..it might not jump out at you right away, but it’s a pleasure to receive….it puts a smile on my face every month.
May Theme – Honor
The theme for this month’s box is Honor and it was curated by Lizzie Haro.
Lizzie Haro is a Las Vegas mama to two adorable, curly-haired kids. You can find her darling kids on her popular Instagram channel, on YouTube, as well as her gorgeous blog. May is the month that we honour motherhood. Included in the box this month is a beautiful book about all types of motherhood experiences, chocolate, jewelry, makeup and party favours. All treats that we hope will make you mamas feel appreciated and special.
The Magic of Motherhood celebrates your life as a mom—the good stuff, the hard stuff, and everything in between. From the writers behind the popular blog Coffee + Crumbs comes a beautiful new book to remind you of your identity, both as a woman and as a mother.
Motherhood can often feel overwhelming and isolating. You find your feelings swinging between joy and uncertainty, intense love and anxiety, laughter and tears. Through it all, you constantly ask yourself, “Am I the only one who feels this way?” The Magic of Motherhood will reassure you that you’re not alone. Full of encouragement, humor, and wisdom that will speak to you right where you are, The Magic of Motherhood is like a long-overdue coffee date with your best girlfriend.
This is the perfect item for a Mommy Box, and even more perfect for the month of May. They nailed it with this book. It may not apply to me directly, but I still love the idea of it. If I don’t keep it and enjoy it myself, I know the perfect gift recipient.
Manna Kadar Cosmetics Mascara
This Flutter Mascara has an intense curling lash effect with a cutting edge technology brush tip to create the most luxurious lashes yet! Achieve full and curled lashes with this one of a kind curvy wand. Grabs those hard-to-reach lashes and round tip to ensure a clump free application. Pair it with our Lash Primer (sold separately) to achieve the most lushes lashes for any occasion.
Manna Kadar has become a very popular subscription box brand over the last few months. I have received it in a number of different subscription boxes, but I certainly don’t mind receiving it again. I have tested out a few of their products and have been very happy with all of them. In fact, I have their blush in my makeup bag as we speak and I use it every day. Mascara is a makeup bag essential, so I’m more than happy to see it in this month’s box.
Papermart Paper Straws
Cute paper straws that are perfect for a party or a picnic. Or just to make a meal a little more fun.
I just love paper straws!! They might seem like a simple item, but they are one of those things I never purchase, but am always happy to have. I just received a tall glass storage jar in one of my other boxes that these are going to fit in perfectly.
Lake Champlain Chocolates
Fresh, all natural chocolates made in Vermont. Each box has both Milk Chocolate and Hazelnut Praline Dark Chocolate squares.
Love, love, love!!! These are tiny, but much appreciated. Sometimes all you need is a square or two of chocolate with a big glass of wine to make a bad day a good one.
Kendra Phillip Ring
Minimalism + symmetry at it’s finest. Comfortable, cool + sleek. The Chloe ring will quickly become a favourite.
This ring is super fun! Jewelry is one of my favourite items to see in my Mommy Mailbox subscriptions. I think it should be a regular item. This one is simple, and classic, and pretty, and adjustable……#perfection!
Mommy Mailbox Review May 2017 – Final Thoughts
Mommy Mailbox did an absolutely wonderful job with their May box. It has a really nice mixture of items. The book was a nice surprise, I actually really love it when subscription boxes include books from time to time. It’s a nice change, and an item we don’t see often enough in these kind of boxes. I also love that they included a makeup bag essential, a gorgeous piece of jewelry, and a fun item that I can display in my kitchen. Mommy Mailbox is a gorgeous little box. It’s not too much, and it’s not too little. I don’t feel overwhelmed when I open this box, and I don’t feel underwhelmed. In my opinion they don’t need to change a thing.
