Subscription Details

How Does it Work: PageHabit offers both monthly and quarterly book subscription plans. Once you sign up for your preferred genre and plan, you will receive a box every month for the monthly plans or every three months for the quarterly plans. When you first sign up, you are simply placing a reservation on a box. You will NOT be billed until your box is ready to ship. Our monthly boxes ship out around the 20th-25th of each month. After your first box, you will be billed every month or every three months until you unsubscribe.

What You Get: Monthly subscription plans feature one (1) brand new release, annotated by the author, a beautiful bookmark and a couple bookish goods to top it off. These ship out every month and each time the author is a surprise! Each box is $29.99 plus shipping.

Quarterly subscription plans also feature one (1) brand new release, annotated by the author, but the featured author also handpicks two additional books to round out the box and thoughtfully selects the bookish goods to accompany his/her brand new release. These boxes ship out every three months based on the calendar year: January, April, July and October. We will announce the featured author and the new release included ahead of time, but the rest of the box will be a tightly guarded secret! Each box is $49.99 plus shipping.
We solemnly swear to never repeat a book in the monthly or quarterly box.

Here’s a closer look at the items I received in the September Young Adult box….

Black Bird of the Gallows by Meg Kassel

Angie Dovage can tell there’s more to Reece Fernandez than just the tall, brooding athlete who has her classmates swooning, but she can’t imagine his presence signals a tragedy that will devastate her small town. When something supernatural tries to attack her, Angie is thrown into a battle between good and evil she never saw coming. Right in the center of it is Reece—and he’s not human.

What’s more, she knows something most don’t. That the secrets her town holds could kill them all. But that’s only half as dangerous as falling in love with a harbinger of death.

Delightful Bookish Goods

This month we received a bookmark, enamel pin, keychain, time traveler patch and the cutest little kitty coaster.

Holiday by Terri Leker

A teenager girl with a hospitalized father and distracted month finds her own respite with a boy at her new high school.

It appears as though we also receive a short story each month in the same genre as the main read.

September Donation

For the month of September PageHabit has chosen to donate books to the community of Dalia, Togo where there are over 15 schools with around 2,000 students. These students have no textbooks, and outside of school, no opportunity to study or to read because of the lack of reading materials. These students desperately need the opportunity to read books for their education, entertainments, and edification. Additionally, there are no lending libraries or bookstores in the region for the population that is not in school.

I love that PageHabit is a subscription that gives back. I can’t imagine not having access to books. The fact that they are donating books to those without makes me very happy.

PageHabit Review September 2017 – Final Thoughts

First off I have to give you an update on the last review. August was my first experience with PageHabit and I received the Romance Subscription. At first I wasn’t too sure about it because I don’t normally read romance novels, but……I absolutely LOVED it. The August Romance Book was Wish You Were Here by Renee Carlino and I couldn’t put it down. It wasn’t your typical romance novel, it almost had a bit of a Young Adult feel to it. It was easy to read, kept my attention the entire time, and had a great ending. It kept me intrigued and wanting to read more. It’s probably one of my favourite books of the year. Anyways, I just wanted to point that out as I thought it was worth mentioning. I was so beyond happy with my first PageHabit experience and can’t wait to see if this month’s book selection is just as good as the last. For September I received the Young Adult subscription and I’m only a couple of chapters in. What I love most about this one is that it has a bit of a paranormal, romance, fantasy vibe to it which makes it a perfect read for the time of year. I’m in the mood to read something a tad bit scary and seeing as one of the main characters is described as a harbinger of death, I figured it will definitely spook me a little. I can’t wait to update you on this month’s selection once I am finished reading it……..

XOXO
